Hello,

For the past few weeks we have been working on some new tools that will help
speed up sweepstakes entry. To address this you will see a new menu option
in category pages, search results, expiring sweepstakes, my sweepstakes, etc.

The menu option is called "Advanced Options" . If you click this link you will
get a drop down menu.

The first few menu options called SweepsPop will work together and enable
SA members to quickly launch all the sweepstakes on a page in a new window/tab
or allow you to select individual sweepstakes to "Pop" open.

This is how SweepsPop works.

1. Click the Advanced Options link.

2. Click "Enable SweepsPop Boxes" .
( This will add a check box on the current page for each sweepstakes listed on the page ) .

3. Click "Check all SweepsPop" .
( This will check off all the SweepsPop boxes on the page)

* This next step is only to be used if your computer is able to handle multiple windows open at the same time. This may slow older systems down or possible make your web browser unresponsive. Please use at your own risk.

4. Click "Launch SweepsPop" .
( This will open every sweepstakes that you have checked off in a new window or in a new tab if you
use the Tabs feature in the latest version of Internet Explorer or Firefox ) .

Additional SweepsPop Options

1. Uncheck all SweepsPop - This will uncheck all the SweepsPop check boxes on the current page.
2. Disable SweepsPop - Will make the SweepsPop functionality disabled or disappear for the current page.


New SweepsCheck Features

On the Advanced Options menu you will find (2) new SweepsCheck features.

1. Check all SweepsCheck - This option will check off every SweepsCheck box on the current page.
2. Uncheck all SweepsCheck - This option will uncheck every SweepsCheck box on the current page.

* These options can become particularly useful for daily entry sweepstakes.

I know you don't want to hear this, but  I didn't receive any of my reminders today. It's been a while since I had this problem. Just for info. I'm always tempted to stop using this feature, but it is so convenient.

If you have a Yahoo email account, Yahoo was incorrectly blocking our email today> I already requested they remove the block. Usually takes 24-48 hours.

I love this feature.  When I tried it this morning, it only would open the first sweeps on the list.  Am I doing something wrong with it?  They were all enabled, and all checked.  But only the first on each page would open.  Thanks!

Now that I got firefox working SweepsPop is great!  Love it!  Saves a lot of time...

120 dailies in under 30 minutes.  I think I'm happy!     Maybe, now, I will win something. 

Another note, while I am thinking of it...if you get to a point on your dailies or one time entries where the sweepspop boxes disappear then go ahead and enter those and then go back and get the rest.  I think you must run out of tabs or something.  I usually have to stop around 40 or so and enter those and then go back and enter the next set.  It is SO wonderful though!!

ok I know I am not the brightest crayon in the box but I am having a problem with the new feature of SweepsPop.  I enabled the boxes, then I checked all the sweepspop boxes, then I launched the sweeppop.  The only sweeps that opens is the first one the page.  So I come here to read if others are having the same problem and read about enabling pop ups and something about tabs, and running out of tabs.  WHAT is a tab, where do I get them, how many do I need?  Do I need to enable popups for every sweeps I enter?  I really feel stupid, and maybe I am, but this has me baffled.  Thanks

If you are using Internet explorer, all you need to do is make sure you allow popups for SA.  Then, click enable, then check all sweepspop,then launch and you should have no problems. 

I think it should work the same way with FF.

I am going to notify Admin so that he can clear up the instructions here for you all.  I think the tabs thing is something that Ping does herself and is not necessary for Firefox.

Thank you for your question.  If you look at this thread, you are not the only one with questions.  Any time a new feature is introduced, there may be things we have set up on our computers that will keep the new SA feature from operating properly.  It may just take some tweaking, but usually it is a quick fix.   

Thanks for this awesome feature....I've been using tabs in firefox but I still had to open them one by one. This is amazingly faster!  I am lucky to have super fast internet and a great computer. My boyfriend is probably going to build me a monster of a computer this year to make my sweeping even faster. Anyways this feature is great and works quickly and easily. I also love being able to check all the sweeps check boxes quickly and easily. I had to step down my sweeping in '08 because i was finally out of college and waas working full time. This will allow me to step up my sweeping becuase it goes a lot faster!
