hi there, I am fairly new...actually I am real new. I have been a member for a month. When can I expect to START winning???? I love to read all the winning posts but I haven't won a darn thing...I actually just need a little cheering up...Thanks everyone!!  |

well keep in mind that most people don't start winning anything for quite a few months, mainly because a lot of the sweeps a person enters usually end months away some as much as a year and a lot of prizes show up @ your door step long after the sweep is over. hopefully you are taking advantage of entering the instant win sweepstakes as those tell you if you win or not right away but sometimes those prizes take a while to get sent out. I just enter and forget and go on to the next one good luck and I am pretty sure others have something to say on winning!

welcome to SA  It can take months to find out about a win. The instants have been a little stingy for alot of folks also. Just dont give up... enter, enter, and enter some more. you have to be persistent and patient. I know it can be really discouraging when you arent winning but if you keep at it you will and you will forget all about the dry spell. Until the next one of course  Make sure you use all the great tools that SA has to offer.. notes sweepspop, mysweeps, sweepscheck. and get robo. or atleast an autofill like with google. I hope to see ya posting in the winners circle very soon. If you have any questions dont be afraid to ask. lots of helpful people here. |

Try and hang in there. It took me a while before I won and I still havn't won anything over $500. I just know as long as I'm entering I've got just as good of a chance of wining as anyone else does.

Welcome to SA and glad to have you, as far as winning, it takes a while, if you are entering instants they have been slow for awhile, but that happens all the time, and you have to think about how many members there are in SA. You see 10 post one day they won, but how many didn't win. If you enter and just keep entering no matter how long, you will win someday, and I also believe whining helps, I usually win after I whine, Which speaking of which , whine whine I haven't won for awhile. lol That feels better, now maybe I can win tonight. Good luck to you, and not sure how many contest you enter a day, but I know allot of people here enter over 100 a day easy, some probably in the 500 and up. Hope you win a million |

skkiser whine away - it really DOES help!!! It took me 6 months to win {other than a "gimme" - where everyone gets a ringtone/wallpaper/etc} and I thought I was going to go nuts seeing the same people always winning when I couldn't hit a thing!!! Then, it was like the floodgates opened - I was winning multiple times a week - sometimes 2 - 3 times in the same day!!!  Then came a 6 - 7 week dry spell, where I began questioning everything - what did i do wrong/was I blacklisted and didn't know it??? Well, that dry spell ended with an awesome win {$700 digital camera } and I learned something {cue for regulars to roll their eyes and skip the rest of my post  }: Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient. The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize - and be positive you will win. Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity. I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!! Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!

It usually takes about six months or so to start seeing the results of sweepstaking. It is a hobby that I enjoy, but I also view it as a job that I work at to win as much as I do. Make sure you get Roboform Pro which is the best tool to have for serious sweepstaking. I don't believe in whining, especially with all that is wrong in the world--I have nothing to whine about compared with that. If you want to win alot, you have to enter alot. My winnings remain consistent, even with the instant sweepstakes. Good luck! |

You sound like my mom - she had a hard time seeing things from others' pov too I advocate whining because some of us get discouraged and allow the negativity to "infect" us, so whing helps to purge that from ourselves. Nope, not everyone needs or wants to do it, but some of us do |

Welcome to SA! Someone always knows someone who won a huge prize as soon as they started sweeping. That extremely lucky person is the exception. Most of us were pounding away at the sweeps for months before seeing a win. As Amy always points out, the key to winning is persistence. If you can enter a lot of sweeps on a daily basis, eventually the wins will start rolling in. To increase your chances, look for sweeps with lots of smaller prizes, sweeps that are less popular, sweeps that require something extra like a recipe or a photograph, and blog sweeps. Good luck!
