I am so sad, I have had almost no wins for over a year now.  I sweep almost every day (both instant and dailys) to no avail.  Is anyone out there in the same boat?  I hate to not enter, thinking that someday soon my boat will come in but I'm getting awfully discouraged.  Any tips for this sad sweeper?

How selective are you about what you enter? You say you enter every day but how many and what type?

My biggest tip is always go to the expiring sweeps list and enter what is ending today. You may not win, but if you do you'll find out sooner as you won't have to way 3-6 months for something to end.

I have quite a bit of success entering for the little stuff-since I'm going to croak and this is just a hobby for me, I leave the big stuff for the rest of you. Except when I accidentally win the grand prize when I really wanted the glasses cleaning wipes or whatever crazy tongue

Check out all your local contests.  Radio stations and TV....I did two weeks ago and WON yesterday(check out winners circle).  Your area might also have a web site, example we have a website that covers the South Jersey area, I won a vw beetle in '99 from them and they offer other contests or advertise local companies that hare having contests.  Good Luck!!!

Yup I am in the same boat.  Nothing in the past 14 months, and only two wins prior to that (1 year and 2-DVD's).  I enter about 70% of the contests on this site and one other, and feel very discouraged.  I enter dailies, instant wins, one time only,  about the only ones I don't enter are the travel/trip contests as they usually go up to 4 peaple (there are 5 of us).  My family is starting to make jokes about me and a nice win would really be nice now. crazy tongue

Whining works!  I've won 2 IW's since I said I hadn't won any instants in a long time (of course I've now jinxed myself  crazy tongue and I won't win for a while again!)

Just keep entering and don't give up hope.  If you don't enter - you won't win.  All it's costing you is time  sunny

I have been entering sweeps everyday since the beginning of August of last year. The only thing I won was a $25 gift certificate from some unknown coffee internet site. Is this normal?

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants!

IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.   

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize   laughing - and be positive you will win.
 
Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!! 


Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!
