Iowa Up Close is a photography contest presented by the University Museum at the University of Northern Iowa in connection with its upcoming spring exhibit, Earth From Space, on display Feb. 16 - June 28, 2008. This traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute presents satellite images of the Earth. The exhibit reveals a different way of viewing our world, and with Iowa Up Close, we’re encouraging you to consider Iowa from a different perspective, as well.
Contest Rules
Any individual residing in Iowa is eligible to participate.
Submissions must follow contest guidelines and be received no later than Dec. 7, 2007.
Photos should be submitted in the following categories:
Living Planet
Water & Air
Structure of the Land
The Human
Presence

Awards
One award per age division will be presented in each category, as well as an overall Best of Show.
Award recipients will receive a certificate of recognition and a UNI Museums gift.
The "Best of Show" award winner will receive a 16" x 20" canvas print of his/her winning photograph, and all other award winners will receive 11" x 14" prints of their images, courtesy of Porter's Camera, 323 W. Viking Rd., Cedar Falls,
