Three calls this morning all before 10 am. I'd be excited if they where wins but instead it was two online schools and some other babytree nonsense tying to sell me in on news letters.  I know they are getting my number from some of the sweepstakes I enter.   cussing , I clearly make sure I mark do not contact me with this or that on their entry form but do the listen.  I was sleeping like a log all peaceful and I have to listen to this women babble on about do want a newsletter, felt like telling her to shove the news letter up her arse.  k, I feel better now.

laughing That is the worst... I get calls from charities a lot and they always seems to call when the baby is napping.  He is a bit of a handfull (that is a bit of an understatement) and I value those brief moments of respite quite a lot.  That's when I introduce them to "mega-b****".  Then I feel kinda bad afterwards 'cause the poor guy is just trying to do his job... not bad enough to give money to a charity who solicits over the phone though!

I've been getting those this is your final notice. They are so annoying especially since I am on the no call list and I press 2 to be removed from their list. Which never works.

I don't understand how someone entering a sweepstakes translates into interested targeted marketing.  Free is different then paying.  Sure I'll take it if its free but other wise, I don't want to hear from you nor do I want your services.  I got a few more this morning.

I'm on the do not call registry as well but some of these sweepstakes have stupid privacy statements where you acknowledge your information will be sold to 3rd parties or sister companies and/or you agree to receive this nonsense without it being stated up front near the submit button.  I think that should be a law.  Clearly displaying that by entering you WILL receive further communications.  Not hidden in the rules or in a privacy statement.

I also thought about it for a good couple of minutes, what a waste of manpower chasing down uninterested leads.  Even spam, they spend so many out and nobody cares and it all goes into the trash most the time without even being read at the expense of  system resources and money to them.  Why not put those resources to better use.
