Can you tell us more about voting, like can we vote daily, and when does the voting phase of this contest end?
I noticed that I could not vote until after I had logged in, but it was a little weird, because I could not log in until I had checked the box saying something about permission to submit the photo (I forget the wording, but it looks like it was designed for people entering the contest, not voters). Anyway, I logged in and my vote was counted, and the stats did increase.

I read the rules, and it looks like there are 3 phases to the contest, Submission, Judging and Voting. If that is correct, then congratulations on making it through the judging phase, as only a few entries in each category moved on to the voting phase.
What I don't get is #4 in the rules, where there is a chart outlining the dates for each phase of the contest. According to that chart, the voting phase hasn't even begun yet, but we were able to vote.

oh, thanks Arrtup3 for that info--I thought we could rate it now!  That's funny that they never sent me that info by email. I did read the rules, but then I saw others were being rated, so thought maybe that was how they would choose the top ones to vote on later. Somehow I don't think my amateur creation will get to the finals, but thanks all for voting anyway! I guess we'll wait till after the submission phase. Hi, Lisa I really don't know how the contest works, and I hope all the votes count. Is there a way you could look into it and let us know what is going on, as I certainly would not want you to miss out if the voting period has been changed, for example. (Just to clarify, I'm just asking because I don't understand, and I'm not recommending that people stop voting for you if we are indeed allowed to vote. At the same time, we wouldn't want to be wasting our time.) I will be happy to vote for you as much as possible. Forgot to mention, your entry is adorable and I would love to visit Heron Island, Penguin Island and most of Australia someday!

Thanks everyone! I am not sure if it's working, but it looks like it's rated pretty high, so that's good. I will definitely ask for votes IF it's chosen as one of the finalists. At the very least, maybe the judges will take a second look if people have rated it high, right?
And, it tells me all the time that I've already rated, so I think it might be a one-rating thing....
