In May 2006 we lost our daughter due to hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She passed away 2 hours after she was born. I am now 22 weeks pregnant (we found out recently we are having a boy) and have to go on Friday to have a fetal echo done to check this baby's heart and make sure he has no abnormalities. I am so scared and worried. I would really appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

Lord we ask that you would ease this moms spirit and give her peace. She has fears of what might be but we know you are not a God of fear. Father we ask for a good report from the Dr. and I stand in agreement with her that all will be fine. We trust you Lord and we rely on you no matter what. You are there with us in every situation and we put our faith in that in Jesus name I pray amen.

Hello everyone....I just wanted to give an update on my situation. First of all I want to let you know how much I truly appreciate your kind words and your prayers. I was admitted to the hospital on bed rest on March 27, 2009 for preterm labor. Our son was born on April 27, 2009 at 27 weeks 4 days. He weighed 1 lb 15 oz. He is now a little over a month old and weighs a little over 3 lbs. His heart is fine and he is doing great!!!! He has no major health problems, except for some anemia and apnea which the doctors assured me are normal for premature babies. He is still in the hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and hopefully by next month he will be able to come home. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and I will keep you updated on his progress! Thank You Again.

snowbellkatie: Congrats! Just read your post.. My oldest son was 1 pound 15 ounces and 11 and 1/2 inches long at birth. He is now 19 and big strong and good looking! And yes Apnea is normal in pre term babies. Both of my sons had apnea and were on the apnea monitor when they came home which lasted 24 hours why they were a year and at nights after a year old. The monitor can be a pain but such a blessing at the same time. Your little guy has quite some time to go and he will be in our thoughts and prayers! It seems like an eternity waiting for them to get their weight. We always had ups and downs but god must have been watching over him because we never had an lung or heart problems. If you need to talk I am here anytime.

Hi everyone...just wanted to give an update on my little guy. Today he is 2 months old!!!! This past week was a busy week for him. He is now in an open crib and feeding from a bottle for most of his feedings. He is still needing a little oxygen because his lungs are still a little premature and he may have to come home on a little oxygen until his lungs get more mature. His weight today is 4 lbs 10.4 ounces. Almost 5 lbs!!!! I am so happy and so proud of him. We are hoping to be able to bring him home close to the time of my orginal due date which is July 22, so I am trying very hard to be patient. Thank you all again for your prayers.

After 9 weeks and 3 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit we finally brought our baby boy home on July 2, 2009. My original due date would have been tomorrow July 22, so we brought him home 20 days before his due date. He is doing great. He is almost 3 months old and weighs 6 lbs. He did have to come home on a little oxygen because he still has some episodes of apnea. I feel so blessed and thank God everyday for my little miracle!

Congrats on your son's birthday. One of my nephews was about the size of a coke can when he was born. I don't remember how early he was. Now he is a grown man, married with his own home. I will say a special prayer that your son grows to have a long, fulfilled life.
