I'm not saying I like the current behavior but if you don't click "watch" each time you comment, you'll only get one for the first time you watch.

I'll have to test this because I was not aware that this could happen as long as you clicked un-watch...

Also, if you have more than one SA account with comment alerts set for each one this may account for duplicates.

The way it was programmed ..every time someone submitted a comment that you are watching you will get an email. Are you getting true duplicates or just email notifies from each new comment?

There's also been one other thing occuring in the comment section.  Comments do not always show up in order.  For example, I just posted a comment to someone's question.  Afterward, I posted an answer.  The answer showed before the other comment when it should have showed up afterwards.  Plus, the time doesn't reflect that.

The watch/unwatch work fine when you start by clicking on the "n Comments" link beneath the sweepstakes listing. The problem happens when you click on the "Post Comment" link. Each time you post, if the watch checkbox is ticked, it accumulates. Post 4 times and watch 2 means you will get 2 emails. Watch all four times and you get four emails. There doesn't appear to be a way to "unwatch" those.

That shouldn't be On by default. I'll change that right now.  Smile

Whether it is on or off by default shouldn't matter as far as behavior goes. While default off is better, if I check it multiple times I would still get multiple emails.

I was using "reply to comment" and was getting duplicates in my email.  Then someone said to use "post comment" to stop it from doing that, but it's still doing it either way for me! scratch

Please email me any duplicates you are getting and I'll remove them for you. I just removed the notify from the post comment form all together until I figure out what is wrong. Seems like it isn't checking for existing email before it sets a new one.

Thanks,

The only thing I didn't particularly care for with the last upgrade is the pic, on the homepage, thats behind the Winners Circle. With the picture there is can sometimes make those posts hard to read. Would be easier to read the topic line if it was in bold print. Just something to keep in mind.

I wish there was a sweeps catagory for the sweeps that give daily prizes.  I get so bummed out when I find a sweep that's been giving daily prizes for weeks or months and it's almost over  cry

Maybe a sub-category of Daily. Let us think about this. Thank you.

TY Ken, you ROCK!!!  headbang headbang headbang

If the key word(s) {Daily/Weekly/Monthly prize} are in the listing, is it at all possible to add a category {ie: Daily/Weekly/Monthly prizes}  to the Home Page under the Browse Sweepstakes by Category links? Then we can catch up on those we've missed from the past & if we miss a week or so?

Just an idea  sunny

These are just some ideas that I think would be cool in the future... they may be too much work but would be awesome.... I am new to sweeps and I am just implementing some ideas in my head based off what I do and what I track.

I think it would be nice to add the Sweeps Check to the expireds. Or add a new section of My Sweeps called "My Expireds" so we don't have to delete the long list of old sweeps that have ended from My sweeps, and we can keep track of our notes and when we entered last even after they expire.

Another enhancement which I think would be cool, would be if we had a custom calendar that shows us each day how many sweeps we entered that day total (example: One Times Entered - 12 ; Daily Entered - 4) and a total that we entered that are expiring that day (One Times Expiring - 20 ; Daily Expiring - 15). I say custom because it would be also nice to enter daily notes in there too.

Something I thought that might be nice too would be another category next to restrictions, limit, added, expires, and hits is a winner announced date. I like to keep track in a calendar of when they are going to announce the winner or call the winner for a particular prize (So I know to answer an unknown phone call, forward my phone to my cell in case I am not home or check my email and spam that day!) I like to be prepared.

I'd like to see the EReminder entry screen default to Days instead of Years for recurring events.

These are all good ideas. We will usually vote on a list of possible enhancements and this will decide which ones we do first. I like the Calender idea. I think that would be an interesting project.

I don't know if this would be a good idea at present because we are trying to clean up the reminders because many people set them and forget them and we are sending lots of email to non-existent email accounts. We are also in the middle of adding a security code word to the form because we found out that it was being used to advertise other sites by spammers.

I still like my idea of better ereminder defaults, as I'm almost always doing reminders for dailys and want reminder to start tomorrow.

Having said that... had another idea that I haven't fully thought through but saw something similar on a couponing site that sparked an idea....

Basically, allow a user to maintain a For Trade and ISO list, where a link would appear under their avatar to show their trading list (and possible trading history). The For Trade list could include how much they'd want for it and from which sweeps it was won.

Yes, there is the trading forum so I'm not sure how much this would add, but I liked the implementation I saw for some couponing site and thought perhaps if it was already a feature of the forum software.... Smile

Is it possible to make searches for posted sweepstakes sorted in order of when they were posted?  I have a month's worth of posted sweepstakes to go through, and I can't see any possible way of just going through the last month's posted sweepstakes without going through all of them.  I can only access the ones still on the new sweepstakes page.

Thanks!  Actually, I now remember what the problem was.  When I tried doing that, I was only getting the box for ascending and descending that day; but now the other box is showing up, so it's fine.

On those posted sweepstakes that are email entries, could we possibly have a link set up that when we click on it our email automatically opens up with the email address of the sweepstakes and the "Subject" line already filled out?  It would make entering alot easier especially on those that are daily entries like "Week In Rewind".

Thanks.

I think you could get this going with Roboform. Does robo form not work for this?

Not that I know of. scratch  As far as I can see, I would have to save each web page to Roboform.  Then each time I went to enter, click on each individual passcard, go to the web page, then click on the email link, fill out the required "subject", and "send".

I do like to enter the daily "Week In Rewind" ones; but, as it stands now, I go elsewhere, pull them all up in a search, and go through the ones I want to enter by clicking on "entry form" and sending the email.  I don't have to do anything else, and it's very quick and simple; all the above work is already done for me.
