I decide the other day to pull some weeds out of a neglected flower bed and wouldnt ya know it, mixed in with all the other weeds was poison ivy. I didnt know what poison ivy looks like. I dont think I have ever gotten in to it before. This morning woke up and my left eye is almost swollen shut, Im itching like crazy, and I look    like a freak covered in the pink stuff. I cant believe this. of course my darling husband just shakes his head and laughs. not nice. not funny. its in between my fingers too. It ITCHES!!!!. I was supposed to go somewhere today too. Im not going anywhere looking like this.  :smt009 Well, Those flower beds can look like the amazon from now on and im not going anywhere near them. My boys helped me a little but luckily they didnt touch any of it. no rashes on them. Thats it. Im sticking to sweeping, no more outside labor for me. I have a good reason right? right.!

omg. :smt005 you crack me up. I needed it too. Im a scratching fool. I know im not supposed to but ahhhhh, it feels so good to scratch. Im doing the benadryl but only take half a dose cause it makes me tired. Cant sleep with a five yr old running around the house.  :smt018 I have looked online a pictures of poison ivy and im telling ya I could go out in the yard right now and not be able to point it out. It all looks like weeds to me. so, just to be safe im staying away from anything leafy and green. unless its in a salad.  :smt001

handy little Boy Scout phrase, "leaves of three, leave them be". Poison ivy grows with clusters of three leaves that look sort of like pointy mittens.
