I've won music downloads, ebook codes, etc that I will never use.  I'm looking for the proper place to post them so the the first person who wants them can use them.  I saw SWAP or SELL, but I just want to give them away.  GIVEAWAYS was not the place after I opened that tab up.  Should I just put them in SWAP/SELL and note that they are free?  If so, how do the codes get annotated as already taken so others don't try to use the code too?  Thanks.

dagger66, one way you could do this would be:

Post in the Trade or Sell forum, including the word "Free" in the title of your post

Do not list the codes, but instead, ask members to send you a PM if interested

Give code(s) to first person who sends you a PM (reply to the PM by PM)

Post in your thread when the codes/items are taken

Hi everyone!
I've been here for about a month but I have a question for you all.
I've been wondering (and this might seem silly) about the possibility of not receiving a win notification if you've opted out of receiving emails from the people sponsoring a particular sweep.
For instance..If I entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Glamour magazine (this is just an example) and I do NOT check the box that would opt in for a free newsletter or contests and website updates, am I possibly opting out of receiving a notification that I won their contest?? Could it be a little catch?? Like "ha ha she's opting out of our correspondances, but little does she know that she wont get the prize if she wins muahahahah"  lmao
I started worrying about that and would appreciate any input!

There are some sweeps that require you to subscribe to their newsletters to win. I don't believe Glamour is one of them. If in doubt, check the rules for the sweeps you are entering that ask you to sign up for their newsletters.

Most places that require you to signup for a newsletter won't let you enter the sweeps without checking off the subscribe box. It is more typical that you will get the notification emails that you won and not have to subscribe. Of course... its more typical that you won't even win.... Smile

Hello wonderful people!
Though I wouldn't exactly call myself a newbie anymore, I do come up with questions from time to time. I've been told by successful sweepers that they enter 100+ sweeps per day. I'm just wondering HOW? I mean, where do you find them? I have entered MANY sweeps, but surely not 100 in a day. Accumulatively I've entered a couple hundred in the month and a half that I've been sweeping. I enter my dailies...daily. I enter a few instants (not too big on them) and I have entered dozens of one time entry sweeps. SA is a WONDERFUL place to find awesome sweepstakes, but I can never find a hundred to enter in one day. Are you finding hundreds of sweepstakes a day elsewhere? I do have roboform (which I love) and could enter a hundred a day easily if I knew where the heck to look. So, if you enter hundreds a day, could you let me in on your little secret? or would you have to kill me if you did? lol
Thanks for any input.

Hey Jes,

Do you go through the list of new sweeps posted here?  http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/new.php shows at least 100 new sweeps each day typically. Also, look at the list of sweeps expiring each day.  Add in the dailys and it is pretty easy to find 100 to enter each day.  We'll save the killings for later... Smile

Hey you!
Yep, I enter all the daily expiring and much of the one time entries. Then I do all the new ones and go through my dailies. I must be doing something way wrong.
Oh, and I really appreciate you letting me keep my head Smile

Are you limiting yourself to only dailies and one time entries? There are many other types besides those. Your 100 count seems way low.  I haven't been entering that much lately and I'm easily entering in over 100 per month. If I just have four dailies to enter like Subway and Little Debbies, that's 120 per month, and that's not even counting one-time sweeps.

Right now, go and enter in all the GoodReads sweeps. http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/search.php?keyword=goodreads Over 200 here. Win a book...

Tomorrow, do all the StarPulse sweeps. http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/search.php?keyword=starpulse There are 25 of them

Next day enter in all the Edge Ptown sweeps, there are 40+ of those... http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/search.php?keyword=edge+ptown

Try to group your entries to a single site together when you can as it becomes easier to enter into multiple sweeps at once.

There are over 200 of them. Win a book... Smile

Waving Just from my experience, I can say that many sweepstakes linger on for a few months.  Also, the longer you enter sweeps, the more that you will find that your list of sweepstakes to enter daily will grow as you add to it each day.  I am not sure when you started entered sweeping, but it may be possible that you may have missed the original sweepstakes postings of some sweepstakes if they were posted before you started entering.  When you get time, it might be a good idea for you to go to the Sweepstakes Advantage home page and go through the list of all available current sweepstakes that appear in the center of the page and make sure you haven't missed any that you want to enter.

If I enter the same "titled" sweep listed under two different (example) magazine entries, is this considered  a duplicate entry, thereby being DQ or tossed out?

Thanks

You'd have to read the rules. Some say only the first will be accepted and the rest will be deleted. I don't believe there can be one catchall answer to this.

After voting just reply to the post telling them that you voted for them.
