Please say a prayer for a young man that works as a firefighter with my son. He responded to an auto accident and as he was approaching the car, the driver shot him in the chest. The doctors say he will recover, but we are praying for a speedy recovery both physically and emotionally. Thanks

Father we thank you that this young man will recover and we ask that you do a quick work to allow a speedy recovery. We cover him with prayers and we know those around him will be a strength to him and he will be whole. In Jesus name we pray Amen.

I'll make sure he gets a copy of these posts when my son goes to visit him. I'm sure he will appreciate it. God Bless!

 Angel  love

I think we need a special icon for the support form, so we can add our thoughts and prayers in whatever variety they come in.

Also, I think many readers silently keep your requests in their hearts and minds without expressing/posting (as I do). Hope things turn out positively for you all.

My son just called me and let me know that his friend will be released from the hospital later today or tomorrow. This young man was shot in the chest. His lung was hit and then the bullet ricocheted off his collerbone. Apparently that was a good thing as it kept it from doing more damage. But after all that and hours of surgery, he's coming home!!! I can only say thank God. And thank you all for your prayers. The power of prayer is a wonderful thing.....

He has been home a few days and is doing well. It will be awhile before he returns to work, but this young man was really blessed. Thanks again all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for him, as he is doing well physically but the emotional road still has a ways to go.

Here is a song that may help his emotional state.

This has strengthened me many times. Really glad he is home and I will continue to lift him up in prayer.

Just wanted to give you an update! This young firefighter is not only fully recovered, but has returned to work. He is way ahead of what the doctors predicted and has done amazingly well. I prefer to say it was a miracle and Thank God. We are blessed to have him in our community and as a friend. Thank you once again to all of you who remembered him in your prayers, and here is the proof of what faith and prayer can do!!!

On a side note- the man who shot him is coming up for trial and has been charged with attempted murder, so he will be held accountable for his actions..
