I would be nothing without you Lord. I owe my whole life to you. You saved me the wretched person that I am. The sinner that I am. I thank you for waking up each morning and giving me breath. If I lost everything of value I would still have you. You come first Amen
I am amazed that he chose me and I could never repay the debt he paid but praise God I don't have to. All I have to do is choose life.
Be blessed and be a blessing

You are welcome and please anyone else who wants to contribute to this thread I hope you do. I know when we agree in prayer Jesus is there in the midst of us.
Lord there are so many lives who are affected by tragedies and we know that somehow something good comes out of all the bad. You promised to be with us in times of trouble and in these times of trouble we lean on you more and we become closer to you.Our faith grows and if we remain faithful when the next trial occurs we are more equipped to handle it. My prayer today is thank you for the trials and tribulations along with the blessings because it is in these times we grow Amen
Be blessed and be a blessing

I am sorry I haven't posted a prayer in about 4 days. I went out of town and I did miss this thread.
Father in heaven I thank you for a safe trip and I pray for anyone who was traveling this past weekend that they also made it home safely. I pray for the people who are having to deal with another hurricane and that you are watching over everyone who has to go through the storms we have had of late.
Be blessed and be a blessing and if anyone ever wants me to pray for them for any reason please don't hesitate to PM me and we can agree together in prayer

Psalm 27:1 [ [A Psalm] of David. ] THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?
I thank you Lord for your living word and I look forward to reading it and learning your ways. My desire is to be more like you and to grow into your likeness Amen.
Any time I am feeling lonely or need strength all I have to do is read his words. I hope you all find time for his word.
Be blessed and be a blessing

This is the third time I am writing this post and it just goes along with the prayer I am trying to write. You ever have those times when you try and take 1 step forwards but end up taking 2 steps back? Well that's me today so I will pray for strength and may the Lord hear and answer my prayer.
1 Corinthians 10:13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
Be blessed and be a blessing

I would also like to say that is why I like the amplified version of the Bible because it helps to get the true meaning of the verse you are reading. I think the scripture I just quoted is a good example. It shows that Paul was referring to the temptation as being sin and not God doesn't ever give me more than I can handle statement that a lot of people use this scripture for.
Well that's just my opinion anyways.

You know today I woke up and I got mad because of the pain that I have been having in my body and I just needed to share and hopefully this will get others mad enough to say I'm not taking pain anymore. In my devotional time this verse was given to me...... JESUS was wounded for MY transgressions JESUS was bruised for MY iniquities the chastisement of MY peace was upon JESUS and with JESUS' stripes I AM HEALED! Isaiah 53:5 I used the (JESUS) and (MY) to make it personal instead of the (HE) and (OUR) and (WE) that the verse uses. Not trying to take over your prayer of the day Cin I just felt the need to share!

Oh my gosh you are all welcome to join me in asking the Father for anything we need and want and that is why I started this thread for all of us who need it. I also agree with you in prayer for your healing. For with God all things are possible to those who believe Amen. I also love to praise him because he is in the midst of our praises and when we worship him he is there. I know you all can feel his presence when we praise. He is worthy of all praise and glory. James 5:16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

I have been having problems sleeping and problems with anger & bitterness for quite some time now all because of past events in my life (abuse mostly, among other things).
I don't normally post things this personal, but I am trying VERY hard to overcome this and need ALL the help I can possibly get since I don't have a "support system" in real life in regards to this problem.
I pray daily for help, but I still can't stop thinking about the past events. They roll over and over in my mind like a recording and I can't stop them for the life of me.
I have tried everything I can think of including therapy and medications. None have worked. So now that I have given up on the therapy/medication, I just pray each day and ask God to help me let this anger and bitterness go.
Some days are a lot worse than others. Tonight it being a particularly bad night for me as it is after 1AM and I am still up with my "mind recording" playing keeping me awake.
Will someone please agree with me in prayer? I strongly believe in the power of prayer, but this has such a strong hold on me I think I need more than just my own prayers.
Father, please take all the anger, hate and bitterness from the past out of my body. It is damaging my health, making me sick, keeping me awake nights and making me miserable. Please pluck this evil out of me like a grey hair from my head and allow me to breathe fresh, clean, good refreshing air.
Please Father, allow me to forget the past. Please take it from me Father, it has become all consuming and more than I can bear.
Will someone agree with me?
Thank you
I am praying with you !! hang in there

I will pray with you and agree with you I have been through similar experiences and I have overcome with Gods love I have had to forgive and let the anger go. Lord help her to let go of the past because it is in the past and let her choose to live for now and the future with your love and peace in her soul. She does not need to give anyone power over her by not forgiving and she is a child of the most high God Amen. I will PM you later or you Pm me anytime you need God bless Cindy

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
This is truly the key to being free from the trials and troubles of this world. I know forgiveness has given me peace in my heart. I also know it is not an easy choice to make but with Gods grace all things are possible.

I've been where you are before and as Cin just posted the first thing you have to totally forgive the other person to begin healing. Once you totally forgive the person who abused you the healing will process will begin. It took me years to forgive the one who hurt me but when I did the Lord really started working in my life.
I stand in agreement with you for you to truly let the past hurt in your life go and for the Lord to start healing you completely. All things are possible with God and nothing is impossible with him.
If you get a chance watch the movie Facing the Giants and it will be a blessing. It showed me that with God all things are possible and to praise Him for everything good or bad.

heartofgold, I am so glad you are opening up and getting this off your chest. This will help you heal. I have to tell you that my first husband was a very abusive monster. My life was h&#% with him. When I divorced him, I had nightmares for years, but never felt like I needed to seek revenge or let him still have control over me with hate. I continued to be nice to the monster knowing that eventually people are their own worst enemies and the best revenge is what these cruel people do to their own lives. He married someone who did some of the same things to him that he had done to me. Several years later, he finally apologized to me for all the h%@# he had put me through. A perfect example of "What goes around, comes around". It may take years but it does happen. Take peace in knowing that you are the better person and those who abused you will get their just desserts in the end and no longer have power over your feelings or your life.

For the first time in my life I am reading the Bible from front to back. What is funny is I don't find myself getting bored at all with it. The last few books I have read have been about law and such like Pelican Brief.

The last few books I have read have been about law and such like Pelican Brief. That is wonderful I remember that feeling and it was the same I couldn't put it down and even 12 years later it's the same you never get enough and each time you read you will take away a different meaning in a passage. I think it's Gods way of placing his words in your heart and teaching us. God bless and keep reading.
