Everyone, please pray for Tammy (ping) She is in the ICU and needs our prayers. I received this letter from a member of her family. Tammy is the most wonderful person in the world. She is always there for everyone.
Tammy wanted me to email you and let you know she is in the hospital. She went to the doctor on Thursday and passed out in the waiting room, and her blood pressure dropped to 70/30. She was admitted to ICU.
Her blood pressure is better now, but the doctors are pretty sure her kidneys are failing and she may need dialysis. I work in a dialysis center, and I'd say that is probably correct based on her history and symptoms. She is waiting for the results from a 24-hour urine test, so we should know more tomorrow morning.
Anyway, she wanted me to let you know what's going on. If you want, I'll keep you posted as we hear more news. [/b]

Geez... and I have been thinking of Tammy lately anyway and had been meaning to check in with her.
I have not been up to par myself and I really haven't kept in touch with her lately.
I will certainly keep her in my prayers, goodness she was already on my list, so I'll just put in extra ones for her now!
Please keep us updated and please let her know that we are thinking of her!
"SA LOVES YA TAMMY! Hang in there and take care!"

Hi guys!
I just wanted to drop a little note for now to let my SA family know that I am home. This has been the most terrible ordeal that I have ever personally been through! God surely blessed me by sparing my kidneys. Don't let anyone tell you that prayer doesn' work ~ it is a very powerful tool and I was on the recieving of a great blessing!!
I will update you all later when I am feel better!!
Tammy

Take care, Tammy. I've been missing from SA this week, but had been thinking about you. What a surprise to come back and find this thread...but no surprise that you have so much caring support and prayers from your SA family. I add my wishes and prayers for you, and your family. When it rains, it pours! :smt051 :smt056 :smt049 :smt049 :smt049

Hey Guys!
Just a quick note to you all ~ I am alive! I have been through the wringer and back again this last week. I had went in Monday night to find my Daddy on the floor and unable to get up ~ had to call 911 to come and get him. Noticed I wasn't feeling well, but knew that I had a doctor's appointment in on Wed. Daddy has a terrible kidney infection and a couple of kidney stones and waited to long to go to the doctor, so he was in the hospital for a couple of days.
I got up on the morning of my appointment and was feeling so bad. I got in the tub and cried because I was hurting so badly. I almost called the doctor and said to forget it. I am so glad that I didn't now. I got to the doctor's office and the place was so crowded, so I was sitting and waiting and when the nurse came out to get me, she said something about me dosing off to sleep. I thought she was crazy. I got up and passed out. I hit a wooden chair on the way down. More than being hurt it embarassed the nonsense out of me. I wouldn't let anyone help me up or help me down the hall. I staggered down the hall like a drunk. When I finally got to the room the nurse came in and took my blood pressure. The first time she said "I did something wrong, let me try again." The second time she said, "Let me go and get another nurse to try." The other nurse came in and my blood pressure was 70/30.
My doctor came in and told me that I was headed to ICU right then. When I got to the hospital they did an MRI first and the only thing that showed up was that I was having migraine headaches. I already pretty well knew that.
Then I was taken to my room when the blood draining started. They took SO much blood from me every day. The next day the doctor came in and told me that my kidneys were shutting down. If something didn't happen that I would have to go on dialise (spelling). I really didn't get it. I guess I was to tired. So I was stuck in ICU for another night. Couldn't sleep, couldn't eat. They were taking blood just ever few hours and poking my fingers to test my blood sugar.
The next morning the doctor came in and told me that my kidney function had improved a little. If it kept on that she would move me to a regular room.
Next day, I got a private room upstairs and started having allergic reactions to something. Ended up getting steriod shots and benedryl to add to my collection of meds. The doctor (not my regular) let me go home during an allergic reaction attack and I was back in the ER that night. Got another steriod shot and a steriod pack to take at home.
Feeling somewhat better today. Jimmie had surgery today for kidney stones and isn't feeling good at all. All I can say is that it is kidney season in Kentucky Island!!!
I will write more later. Gotta go help Jimmie start a roast for tomorrow ~ ready for :smt015

:smt006 So happy to hear you are feeling better. Just the stress over all that is enough to make a person sick. Talk about a family that sticks together! Next time you all want to do the same thing, make it something fun. Take care and try not to do too much too soon. We love you Tammy!
