Hi All:
Won a trip to NY that includes Hair and Makeup application for 5 people. Is it proper etiquette to tip at the Salon on a trip win? It is very high end, John Barrett Salon NYC. Also, should we be tipping bell hop and maid? Is it proper to send a thank you note and token gift to the person at the Sponsor's who is going out of her way for us? I have never WON a trip before and want to do the right thing. We are leaving this Sunday, so your input would be greatly appreciated.

Unless the rules state that gratuities will be covered by the sponsor, you will be responsible to tip wherever it's expected. We've won eight trips and did all the tipping for waiters/waitresses, bell hops, maid service, etc.
