Backstory:  I missed 3 calls yesterday, no messages left.  I call back today to find out that it was dlblair and they had told me that because I didn't answer the phone (1:30-3:30) I had been disqualified and another winner chosen.  I thought..ok..understandable..maybe the rules say wait by the phone...but they don't.  They say:  "winners notified by mail, email, or overnight delivery"   Do I have a case?  Thoughts?  Remedies?  I have emailed them a similar message so we'll see what happens.  Thanks and GL to ALL.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:  Winners will be determined in a series of four (4) separate random drawings (one (1) per Team City) (each, a “Drawing” and together the “Drawings”) from all eligible entries received with respect to each Team City. The Drawings will be conducted on or about 10/17/11 by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization. Winners will be notified by mail, email and/or overnight deliveryusing the contact information provided with the entry.

Well........  that doesn't sound very good.  What was the prize?
I can't imagine that if you don't answer the phone the one and only time they call that you are out of the running........  not really fair.  Can't walk around with a phone glued to our backside.......  oh, wait we do with our cell phones don't we.  But I'm not giving my cell phone number out to people....  I have a second line specifically for the sweeps.

Just to clarify it was 3 seperate calls made to me at 1:30. 2:30. and 3:30 pm..all with no voicemail or message left.   I only found out about it because I was curious and followed up..and the switchboard operator at DL Blair was very helpful to direct me to who may have called but the account manager, I'm assuming,  of the promotion was short, dismissive, and somewhat rude.

Hi Amy...nevermind.  My apoogies.  I missed this before:

VERIFICATION OF WINNERS AND DELIVERY OF PRIZES: Grand Prize winners may be subject to a recorded telephone pre-verification process.  Each Grand Prize winner will (and any other winner may) be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Any prize may be awarded to an alternate winner if affidavit/release is not returned within seven (7) days after mailing to a winner, if prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, if a winner cannot be reached live by telephone after three (3) attempts (no messages left) or if winner fails to respond to written communications within seven (7) days of date sent. Each winner agrees to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, address, likeness and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law

gates2112 - that's what I figured. I stopped entering VALPAK and MTV sweeps because of that rule since I screen ALL calls.

Oh well, as my grandmother would say... NEXT!!!  love

I'm sure you'll get another win down the line to make you forget all about this one, so hang in there!!!  sunny

I can't find the whining wall...............  any hints as to where it is........    I need to whine!!!!!!
I am entering anywhere from 9000 to 12000  entries a month and am winning very little.........  300 to 400 entries a day......  is my math off?  What am I doing wrong?  I would love advice from the long term winners or anyone for that matter.
