Can we sticky this? So many people have Roboform questions. I am going to start using Robo soon and would like to begin a discussion on the program.

When using Roboform, do you use the bookmarks functions, or do you open links using MySweeps? Some of the sweeps links don't go directly to the login, so I imagine Robo would hold the link to the right place.

Do the Robo bookmarks open all at once, as tabs?

Momma of 3, how come you decided to upgrade to Pro?  Didn't you have the older FREE version of Robo?

Yep. I had the free version since I started sweeping but all the talk about pro I thought I would give it a shot. anything to make entering faster. Im so glad I did. I wish I had bought it in the beginning. It was taking so much time to enter that I was cutting back on sweeping because of it. LIDARKSIDE told me how to use it right and it is working out great. One click and im on my way to the next sweep. Its  worth the 30.00.

Ohhh I see, that's the one I was telling Cin about in another thread.  I like that version and I was telling her that it is a one time fee of $30 and you have it 4ever..... It's a 1-click entry, right... Very cool... Thanks girl....

I notice that when you save an url as a bookmark, it doesn't save the form as a passcard, and you need to save it in another folder if you need one. Also, do you save to My Sweepstakes in addition to saving the bookmark?

One problem with using the bookmarks is you don't have access to your product codes. I have been saving them in the notes.

I can't help you with your first question, because I don't understand what you're doing.  Maybe, you can explain it differently.  I don't understand the part about saving the "URL" as a bookmark! scratch

I only use Roboform Pro to save to and sweep from.  I don't see a reason to use anything else.  Plus, you can backup your passcards to a floppy just in case.

As for codes, it's simple.  You can either write them down on a piece of paper that you keep next to your computer (which is what I do), go to your wordpad or notepad and type them in on the same saved page and delete and add when necessary (you can print up the page too),  or put them in an email to yourself and save to an email folder.  There's many different things you can do for that.

I have had the pro versions for over a year now and it was well worth the money.  It keeps up with everything for me.  It will even fill in the passwords if they are the same everytime.  I recommend it to anyone that is a busy sweeper!!

Can we sticky this? So many people have Roboform questions. I am going to start using Robo soon and would like to begin a discussion on the program.

This is just a suggestion.  If there's a sticky question and answer thread for Roboform Pro it's going to become all muddled, hard to follow, and too spread out that information will end up lost in the shuffle especially if the thread just keeps getting longer and longer going on as this current thread is starting to go.

It probably would be better that answers are answered in the original post by modifying and updating it.  Then all the information will be right there at the forefront of the thread.  Just a suggestion. Waving

I went ahead and stickied it here and I will come in later and weed out this post and another one of mine that doesn't have a lot to do with the thread.  Is this what you were asking for LIDARKSIDE ?  I just want to be sure that I am doing what you asked ~ the blond roots are STRONG this afternoon!!

As long as the answers and information stay at the beginning of the thread, it would probably be more helpful and beneficial to members.  Could you imagine going through 20 pages trying to learn and get answers.  Eventually, people are just going to start asking the same questions over rather than going through all of that. crazy tongue

I have seen that happen many times.  At least here we usually don't have pages that go on that long ~ I will try to weed out the unimportant things at least once a week.  So if you post something and it disappears know where it went.

LIDARKSIDE if you see something that you think needs to come out to make the thread more useful then just let me know.  You can PM me anytime ~ or any of the other mods!

I am still using the free version but I might look into the pro if it will save time. I am just not that familiar with all the things it would do so I am going to go to the site and read up on it

Robo is acting a bit weird, and I didn't realize it until today.

When I do dailies, I save the pages as bookmarks, and go to Edit logins and load the pages I want to fill. Robo has been opening the top page twice, and not opening the last one. I have been getting you already entered messages, and apparently I haven't been entering the last daily on the list.

I figured out a workaround, but shouldn't have to. Is this normal behavior?

I have no idea what you're talking about!! laughing   My head is spinning now!! crazy tongue  What do you mean you go into "edit" logins?  You should only being left clicking on "Logins" on the toolbar and then left clicking on the passcard name.  You have me so confused now!! scratch

When I want to open a bunch of them, I go to Edit logins and I can pick out the ones I want to load. When I click on Logins I get a bunch of folders with the logins, but can only open them one at a time.

What have I missed? Can you open a few at a time your way?

I've never done that.  It really sounds like you're wasting alot of time doing it that way.  I just open up four windows and go back and forth clicking away.  If it's a really fast submitting sweepstakes like Classic Heartland, Woman's Day, etc., I just stay in the same window and click, click, click right through them.  I'm already clicking on the next one by the time the last one submits.  I really think you're trying to use Roboform for doing something it's not meant to do for entering sweepstakes, and it sounds like something that would slow you down not help.

If you're trying to duplicate what the program at the other site did, you're definitely doing it the slower way.  Everyone that I taught to use Roboform quit using that program once they realized that it was quicker doing it straight from Roboform clicking on the passcard names.

My method of entering Classic Heartland sweeps is unbelievably fast. I let all the pages load at once, and when it's done I keep my cursor on the fill and submit and use the other hand to close the pages. I do all 38 of them in less than a minute. Womans Day is slower because the server is slower and the pages are more complex.

To enter dailies, I load 9 or ten of them at once, and click through really fast. It's a great method. I had no idea you were doing them one at a time, clicking through tabs.

My method has that little flaw, however, with the top page double loading and the bottom not loading. I really like it though.

It's actually quicker.  I don't submit anything.  Roboform does it.  You don't have to open or close anything.  I just keep clicking through the list.  I've gotten over 700 dailies done once in 2 hours and 10 minutes which included all the involved sweeps like flash, etc.  My husband timed it when he was home.  That was the only time I stayed put so I could see how long it actually took.  That's why the program at the other site was slower, because doing that involved one to two extra clicks for each sweepstakes rather than doing it straight from the passcard list.

...but stick to what you're comfortable with.  I don't know what to tell you about those problems though. scratch

I know what you mean about instantaneous fill and submit, but so many of them need you to type in a validation code that I keep that function turned off. In time, I will learn more Robo tricks. I'm still in training now.

My computer is seriously underpowered with only 512K ram, and I'm hoping to speed things up with the upgrade card I ordered. I will be adding 1MB of ram when it comes.

On the ones with validation codes, I know which ones they are.  So, I just click on "Go and Fill" instead.  The form is filled out.  So, I just type in the code using the "enter" key on my keyboard.

Now that you mention it, my entering method is a lot like Sh_z_m at the other site, but I'm able to control which pages I want to open and how many. Sometimes, you don't go straight to the login, but I save the login as a bookmark, making entering very fast. I never did so many dailies.

Robo has other functions I don't yet understand, but can see the possibilities. I'm looking forward to many wins from now on.

Mine are all saved to the login page.  The only forms I don't have control over are the flash forms, of course, since they're just projections on the page and Roboform can't see them.  Any subsequent pages to entering are cloned as (1), (2), etc.  After Roboform fills and submits the first page, I click once on "fill and submit" as soon as the next page comes up, and that page is done and gone, and so on.

I don't follow.  Are you asking if there's a way to tell it that you don't want it to submit something?

I'm saying I would like it to automatically fill and submit at certain sites and/or domains such as Classic Heartland. Does the passcard function allow this?
