I always dread seeing the schools number come up on my caller ID. Its picture day at the school and my daughter thought it would be funny when the photographer went to take her picture she yelled nooooo! it will steal my soul!. he was not amused. And neither was the school. And my youngest has a migraine and I had to go get him. poor thing. He was complaining about a headache this morning but wanted to go for picture day. I knew I should have just kept him home. I guess I should have kept them both home. They wanted to give her a detention for what she said They decide not too though.

I couldnt help myself. She only did it once. He didnt have to keep trying because she said it over and over. If she did I could see the outrage.

Oh I am sorry, but that is funny, I would have laughed to. Kind of think somebody at the school needs to lighten up and get a sense of humor. My son was always cutting up and getting in trouble, but it was so hard to get on him because he could crack me up and knew this. Used it against me all the time.

Sounds like the school needs to find a photographer with a sense of humor. It's hardly a reason to for punishment. If anything he should have just taken her pic and said "sorry, you only get one chance". Maybe then she wouldn't have thought it so funny.

The goofier the picture the better. ahhh sports. nah she doesnt do anything that requires her to break a sweat.

They should have real problems...At picture day at my school-during lunch break somebody stole the camera and tripod and went off and pawned it. I refused to smile during any of my highschool pictures, and argued with the guy about objectification...

well they are really over strict IMO at this school. Kids get detention for the most minor offense. Its crazy. And they tend to get their info from the "popular" crowd. If one kid says hey this kid is cutting themselves they call that child in, without notifying the parents, and give them the third degree. A few of my daughters friends have been called into the office and grilled for obvious rumors but get this.. a couple of the "popular" kids who are doing all the talking are the biggest druggies in the school. go figure. I guess they think because these kids parents have lived in this town forever they can be trusted. yeah, whatever.

Last year, in second grade I got called in by my boys teachers. They had to lip sync a song. The teacher pulls out the video camer and there is my son... with a pillow down his pants lip syncing to "I like big butts" yeah.. she had me too so she wasn't shocked at all by my child
