I loved mystery science theater.. you have to have a strange sense of humor to appreciate that show.   laughing

ok, so far. Mosquito~ the worse so far for acting and effects but also the funniest.  The acting was sooooo bad in this that it had to be on purpose. Had to be..

Locusts: The 8th Plague~~ omg! gotta give ya some background in case you havent seen it... now, this may contain spoilers.   laughing  genetically engineered  locust have escaped a lab, no surprise right. These particular locust were designed to eat other bugs, be meat eaters if ya will,  the "stars" of the movie, one a entomologist( I think), the other a DR for the usda... now, the woman, the dr, calls people in "washington" to come to the rescue.. What a group of absolute idiots. They find where the bugs nest is, go there, soooo unprepared its ridiculous.. most die, expect of course for the two main "stars".. so the guy is trying to figure out why they were saved, why the bugs didnt kill him and the women and this is what he comes up....   the reason~ they (he and his girlfriend) only eat organic food, therefore there are no pesticides in their bodies so the  bugs didnt want them.     laughing  not kidding.

Caved In: Prehistoric Terror~ not to funny and the acting was alright so I hated it. Wasnt bad enough for me.

watching The Hive right now and it looks promising so far.  laughing

also what a list of b movie actors so far~~~ Dan Cortese,  David Keith, Jeff Fahey and Tom Wopat

These aren't the bad movies from the '50's and '60's?  These sound a bit more recent.

I've noticed that every now and then scifi does this and the movies are just so stupid you have to watch them. Oh and I liked the fly. Both the original and the goldbloom one.  laughing

Jimmie is addicted to any kind of movie with giant animals in it...must be a 'man' thing...hmmm...

He has the Tivo recording all day ~ which he would kill me for saying this but he also had it record all day the other day when they had a 'Tru Calling' marathon laughing  I did watch one today and it isn't the worse show I've ever seen, but certainly not his norm either laughing

We mainly have on PBS Kids, Food Channel, Classic Rock Channel, and the premium movie channels.  That's about it, but I wonder around when there's nothing good on.

I'm not really a horror movies person, but I do like a good suspense/thriller movie like The Ring, The Grudge, Wind Chill, etc.

no, though those are really good too. These are from the nineties most of them.   popcorn  not as bad as the 50's and 60's but still worth watching.

The hive .. you would think it was about bees, you would be wrong.. Ants.. smart ones too.   laughing  So smart they understand chemistry and geometry.   error   ** spoiler** They take a child hostage, yep!.. They want to negotiate for their share of the island.. best line in the movie~~~ We are not going to negotiate with Ants!!!...    laughing   He said it so seriously I about peed my pants.

I love that movie. Several years ago I had a copy on DVD that I picked up from Walmart for $5.99. Later I found out it was out of print. I wound up selling it on Ebay for $135!! Now it's not worth much since they re-released it. That part with the guy making car noises as he's walking by always puts me in stitches!

Dan Cortese? The guy from MTV? The Lawnmower Man AND Luke Duke too!? You certainly are brave!

Best line in the movie~~ Dont make me arrest you maynard!!

oh, what to do when ants are crawling on someone's boots? set the boot on fire with a home made flame thrower..   laughing

Bad acting, bad special effects...  You can't get funnier than!  Well, yeh you can, with jokers making wise cracks at the screen.  I couldn't stop laughing.
