Well I'm back, no suprise tho. I've been sweeping my little grits off with these sweeps until I've almost worn my self out. I belive i now have corpal tunnel in my right wrist from clicking with my mouse so darn much. All in all I have been having no luck whatsoever with these sweeps. I'm starting to belive everyone who wins has cheat codes or something. (JOKING --U'D BETTER NOT ) And don't start with that, oh be faithful and dedicated stuff because that I already am. AND YES I'VE BEEN ENTERING AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND YES I CONGRATULATE OTHERS ON THEIR WINS AND YES/NO I EXPECT TO WIN. AND YES I KNOW ITS A HOBBY....(BLAH BLAH BLAH). AND YES I ENTER THE DAILYS, MONTHLIES, WEEKLIES, INSTANT, 24HOUR, 1 TIMERS and I haven't won a Gift Card, Gift certificate, movie ticket, cup of coffee, lip gloss, DVD nothing.(gosh my wrist hurts just typing this) It's just becoming really disappointing that I"m not winning, I do enjoy myself and coming to the forum and reading about others wins, but Hell I want to join'em. All I can win is some downloads that I not care about and some stale grits chips from subway. Maybe I'm taking this sweeping stuff to seriously. Should I just walk away from it for a while and come back?I know one thing I definitely got corpal tunnel from sweeping (no joke). I even sweep at work (now thats bad). On occasion, I tend to do a instant win a few dailys from time to time. Anybody else can relate to what I'm feeling?

claim2fame, If I didn't know you were "venting," I would take exception to the sentence, "I'm starting to belive everyone who wins has cheat codes or something." Cheating? Come on, you know better I'm sorry that you aren't winning a lot. Kate

One of the best ways I have found to prevent carpal tunnel issues if you're "power sweeping" (I'm more of a low wattage sweeper myself ) besides using Robo, of course, is to learn to use a trackball mouse. They are different from a regular mouse and take some getting used to. Here is my favorite http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/trackballs/devices/166&cl=us,enusing a trackball may help keep you from developing wrist problems. Here is a nice link on the subject of ergonomics and computer use that discusses the trackball, there are many more (search on "trackball" and "carpal tunnel") http://www.geeks.com/techtips/2006/techtips-09mar06.htm

ya really just gotta go with it. you will have times when you cant win anything and then boom! ya hit a spurt and you are winning like crazy. This is a hobby. It is supposed to be fun. It can take months to start winning consistently. It can take months for dailies, monthly and weekly sweeps to start notifying winners. you really do need the enter and forget it attitude. otherwise you will drive yourself crazy and just get burned out really quickly. you gotta be prepared for those times when you cant win nonsense. Just say tomorrow is another day. try, try again. Hope ya get a great win soon.

My only advice is to hang in there. Sweeping should be a fun activity – try not to get so frustrated.

I can say I know how you feel. If it wasn't for those darn Subway chips, I wouldn't know what a winning screen looks like! I feel as though I enter lots without any kind of results. I am not giving up though. Even though I call my sweepstaking "work", I still don't mind doing it. I am sure I could probably find other things I could be doing around here, but this is a good way for me to relax and unwind. I do see where the same people win multiple times a day/week/month and wonder how they do it. As for me, I am not gonna give up yet. I am confident that the "big one" will come soon. ( Shucks! Even a little one at this point would feel exciting!) Hang in there with me!!!!!

I don't get into that hang in there it will happen stuff either. I believe in one thing and one thing only. In order to constantly be winning prizes, you have to enter alot of sweeps; and I mean ALOT!

But see, some people don't enter alot and still win - heck, some people win big on the only sweeps they enter, and that's how they get hooked on sweeping!!! I haven't really changed how many I enter (LOTS less than you do!!! ) and I don't win like I used to - BUT - their aren't as many "gimme" sweeps out there like there used to be either!!! It was fun winning lots, but the prizes were so small... now I win less often, but more big prizes, so it's all good And I do agree that for most people, entering consistently, and as many as possible increases the likelihood that they will win, it's not a sure thing. Personally, I can't find that many sweeps to enter - I used to enter any that had at least 1 prize I wanted to win - now I'm choosier

Hi claim .... when you sit down to begin doing your sweeps... sit there with a positive attitude and a smile... i promise this little ritual works... you will win.... if you enter sweeps constinantly, you will win, i'm a huge believer that posititive thounghts and energy bring wins in..... In fact yesterday when i got home, there was a surprise win on the door step from a sweep that ended 05/05/2008 (over 2 months ago). I was never notified that i was a winner, it just showed up........ Keep your head up, we alllllll go through the phase you are goin' through now.... i almost kicked the out of my laptop last month...

So sorry you're frustrated. I used to get that way too, when I started sweeping. Then, I got a surprise win in the mail! I started winning a couple of instants after that. It seems like now (after a year and a half) I'll go for a month, month and a half with no wins. Then, bam! I'll start winning on instants. Small wins at 1st, then a nice one, then nothing for a while. Then, more instants, maybe a one-time entry...It all runs in cycles. I really hope you win something good real soon. We all get tired of losing!

Don't get discouraged! If you didn't do any sweeping before you joined SA on June 12, 2008 it is waaaayyy too soon to be seeing many, if any wins, on the dailys, one entrys etc. Most of what you have probably been entering haven't even ended yet and those that have ended probably haven't drawn yet and if they have drawn, probably haven't notified winners OR sent out prizes. Like Champagne said, she just got a surprise win from a sweeps that ended over 2 months ago. Patience, persistence and consistency are very important in sweeping. Just keep smiling, don't obsess over winning and your time WILL COME!!

We all win sooner or later as long as we enter that is. I have won by entering once and by entering daily. Good luck to you.
