If you think that the federal government has gotten out of control, losing touch with real America, and only serves themselves and special interest lobbyists, then you are not alone. It seems that several states in our union agree with you! Since the beginning of this year more than 21 states have passed resolutions in their individual legislatures confirming their sovereignty, sternly warning Washington D.C. to return to the confines of the Constitution of the United States, or risk disobedience at the state level of federal mandates.

The U.S. Constitution grants only specific duties and authority to the Federal Government, making it clear that rights not enumerated to the United States are reserved to the states and the people.  The founders of our nation viewed government as a servant and agent of the people, not the other way around. What makes our form of government unique is that ours was the first in history where the people dictate rights to the government, not government telling the people what rights they have and don’t have.
