I am so sorry to hear that but don't let it destroy your friendship. Tell her to stop... you respect her right to her own opinion and you don't try to convert her to yours so you deserve the same consideration!
I had a friend do the same thing to me during the election, he also would send every urban legend forward under the sun... drove me nuts! (BTW: this is a good one to send to people who forward without checking if what they are sending is true. It's an email called the Gullibility Virus ~ http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blvirus.htm )

This story is so timely, there is no date on it! This story is so important, we're using lots of exclamation points! Lots!! For every message you forward to some unsuspecting person, the Home for the Hopelessly Gullible will donate ten cents to itself. (If you wonder how the Home will know you are forwarding these messages all over creation, you're obviously thinking too much.)
