One thing not on the list that I'd like to see...

In the newsletter, I frequently click on the sweeps link to enter. However... I have to search to find the sweeps to check SweepsCheck Entry Date to update to "today". It would be nice if there was someway to update that via newsletter entry.

The newsletter idea is a great one that I've thought of myself. The problem is that the newsletter is hand written and isn't dynamic. The SweepsCheck feature uses javascript and there is no way to send javascript via email and have it pass virus filters and such. We had to trim down the last version of the newsletter because it was being rejected for images and size. Getting emails delivered is a tricky business because of what spammers have done.

All that being said I think I could work around this problem with a little extra code. I'll add this idea to the list. Thank You.  Smile

I think just adding a link to the Sweeps entry listing itself would be sufficient. No need to redirect a link to do JavaScript to toggle SweepsCheck.

I like the increment entry counter option, the entry code search, and the kids sweepstakes section

I missed this post while the voting was open but would like to add my 2 cents (ok, maybe just 1 cent worth).

I would like to be able to sort sweeps by 2 or more options.  Such as # of hits and expiration date.

Thanks for a great site.

You can already sort this way in the category pages.

The option for frequency (such as: one per person, one per household, etc.) is supposed to be implemented soon.  I hope that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle as it is an absolute necessity in households with more than one sweeper.  You know, husband and wife, or room mates or parents who enter and their kids also enter, etc.  Most of the good sweep sites have it.  That is the only real  necessity (besides a good internal search engine) that this fabulous site lacks. That's also the only reason that I go to other sweeps sites - to quickly find out the frequency.  I wish I didn't have to do that, though.  The other suggestions are good, too, such as having a cd, dvd section, etc.  Thanks.

The Extended Frequency one should be done by the weekend or monday. Then we will start on the poll list.  Smile

This feature has been implemented today. Look for the "limit" label in the listings. It will take some time before all the listings will have data in this field. Starting today I have informed the editors to start populating that data.

IMHO, if it's a daily sweeps, all we need to know is if it's per person (pp) or per HH (phh) or if it is anything OTHER than 1x per day: 5x/cap of 20 entries/etc.

Same with IW's, weekly, 24 hr, etc. since that already denotes entry frequency.

Also - prize limits. If it's 1 pp, then other sweepers in your house can continue to play. If it's 1 phh, once one of them hits, all are done. That's what needs to be noted.

I think it's too confusing to see a daily sweeps stating 1 pp limit.

The daily category is a good example of why we need the 1 PP. Some dailes allow more than 1 entry per day. I think its better to state it for all rather than just say PP. Thats just my opinion and maybe others can chime in. We just want to stay with a consistent format.  Smile

Does anyone know how they would like the Custom My Sweepstakes categories to work? I sort of need a technical spec so I know how we should implement it. Thank You.

I was hoping to be able to put creative-type sweeps, such as essay and recipe sweeps, in a custom category.

Perhaps the user can name the category, and each sweep has an option allowing it to be filed by the member.

Thanks for implementing the upgrades. Good on ya!

This is probably getting in to late but here's a thought.  The instant win section is so full of the "Search with Meatloaf, Search with Kevin Federline" etc.  It would be nice to have them under a heading by themselves.

Not too late, but admin is working on an upgrade that will make it unnecessary to add more categories:

When we roll out the custom my sweepstakes it will make these types of custom categories unnecessary. So for now we'll wait for the custom My Sweepstakes to hit production.

Thank You.

My Started Threads?
http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/smf/index.php?topic=34056.0#lastPost

Is there any way for me to see just the threads that I started? Sometimes I ask a question in one of the lesser used sections and I either forget about it or have trouble finding it. I thought there was a feature to view just the threads I started (not all my posts!). If there's not a feature like this then it would be a handy thing to add to the list of of possible new features

As far as customizing my sweeps - I think it would be nice to be able to for instance:  On instant wins, be able to sort them in priority order (like Netflix does)...basically put your favorite ones on the first few pages when you pull up My Sweepstakes/Instant win.  Same with dailies.  That way you would make sure you wouldn't miss your very favorites by going through a whole bunch of pages to look for your favorites.
