Mine included.  Well, he'll officially stink next year.  Right now he's a sucky teen in the making.

I've been working at the fair, helping my mom sell pizza and soda.  Yesterday, some young thang who looked to be all of 14 came over to our tent with a group of her friends.  Once she stopped twirling her hair and chomping her gum she asked for a whole pizza.  I proceed to get it for her and she said, "It's just cheese, right?"  I said no, that we were only selling pepperoni.  She then asks me if I would pick off all of the pepperoni.  I was like, "Really?  You seriously want me to pick off all of the pepperoni?"  She goes, "Well, yeah" and giggled.  I wanted to punch her in the face.  I said some not-so-nice things and they decided they didn't want pizza but continued to hang around the tent, cursing and yelling like lame a$$es until hubby ran them off.

Tonight, another young thang with a camel toe as big as Texas came up to me and asks, "Do you give refills on pizza?"  I looked at her and again go, "Really?"  She gets a little huffy and asks, "Do you or don't you?"  I was SOOOOOO fed up by this point(6 days at this hideous event, sweatin' like a crackhead hooker jonesin' for a fix)that I actually told her, "What? does this look like?  A f^%$ing soup kitchen?"  Then I heard one of her friends say Oh hell nah!  And something about wait til I got off.  I stood there and LMAO and then I told the camel toe chick to fix her front because her shorts were wet.  One of the guys in the group called me a witch with a B.  They didn't stick around too long once hubby came over and asked if there was a problem  laughing

Way earlier today when I first got there my first customer was a teen guy who apparently dips.  I know this because he spit as he approached the counter and it bounced off the ground and some sprinkled on me.  I was so utterly repulsed that I really did think I was going to throw up right then and there!  Do you know what that stuff smells like??!!  He was very apologetic and I actually felt bad for wishing he'd die.

Upon leaving with 3 kids in tow and one who had just barfed all over himself on a ride(the neighbor's kid), I had to snake through yet another group of little sh!ts to be able to actually leave and go to the car.  They didn't feel like moving so I plowed through them, stiff-arming a few of them.  Did they not hear me say "Pukey kid coming through" ? and did they NOT see the kid covered in puke?!

I know it's probably unavoidable(especially with my oldest)that mine will turn out any less irritating and sucky, but I still have hope!!  And a brand new yard stick  laughing  I did catch my oldest opening doors for some little old ladies and moms with strollers while he was chillin' with some friends, eating pizza.  That made me weepy-eyed for I know it probably won't last.  Teens always end up sucking for a while.  I guess I'm hoping mine don't totally stink like the ones I've encountered these last 6 days.

wow lol. You are so funny. I think 13 is when you should ship them off, and bring them back when they are like 19. Those are the hardest years.

The first few days was just that...B.O. mixed with sour sweat.  I know the entire world was out to get me because I kept getting stuck behind the sweaty, sour peeps where ever I needed to go.

I daydreamed about hijacking one of the golf carts that the board members use to get around and crashing through groups of rude peeps who decided standing in the middle of a walk-through was an entitlement, complete with evil smile and laugh  laughing

You know the kind of day (week, month, year, life...) that I am having I would have been very tempted to tell the little twit that yeah, I would take the pepperoni off for her just as long as she would be the one to come and pick up the pizza...I would have loved to put them on a plate and when she came up threw all of them out the window at her cute little bubble gum smacking face!!!  I can't stand 'that girl' teens!!  I would beat my child to death if I knew she acted that way in public!!

Exactly!  nonsense is tough all over.  I know everyone is having it rough.  Well, almost everyone.  I'm doing this for Mother who isn't well enough to do it herself and I'm making a little extra cash to do my part in helping my family.  I'm not an anti-people person ALL of the time(LOL) and I've been around the restaurant business my entire life.  I greet and serve everyone with a smile and appreciate their business.  I guess I just couldn't get over the fact that some little sh!ts thought so much of themselves that they would try and put someone out.

You know what Mother said about the girl who asked if there were refills on pizza?  She said, "Honey, I would have given her another whole pizza.  You never know, she may have been someone's hungry child."  As much as I love my mother I would have dove head first off of the tallest ride or joined the freaking rodeo before giving that girl another whole pizza after the way she asked for it.  Her and her friends were not hungry, starving kids.  They were douchebags.

My oldest is 12 but only in numbers.  He's already got more attitude than anyone could shake the biggest stick at, but I can guarantee you he doesn't act like that.  He may be an artist to us sometimes but he's polite and mannerly to others.  I believe it's because he's always had myself or his father there to ride his butt if he wasn't.  With that being said it did surprise me, however, seeing him break away from his group of friends to open doors for the little old ladies or moms with strollers.  He just didn't seem like the type of kid to pay attention to those sort of things.  Like I said earlier, I hope it lasts.

I have another vent as well but will wait to see what happens tonight so I can give you the complete story(one more night of this hideous event).  Let's just say it's about a 12 year old girl with issues who's trying to use her "womanly" ways to con my son out of attention and money.  I hope to run into her tonight and have a little chat with her  laughing

Hey colleen!  How about a little credit here  laughing

I didn't see this psycho chick tonight but I probably wouldn't have been able to pick her out from the other 12 year old, underdressed girls.  She's the girl who has liked my oldest since they were in 4th or 5th grade and the one who made a scene when he brought another girl to the school dance last year.  I told him to stay clear of her, told him about girls like that.  So, what does he do?  He spends a little bit of time with her last week, riding rides, buying her something to eat and drink, and basically being a good friend to her.  Now, normally I would be proud and encourage that but I know her type and I don't want him associating with her at all.  I really don't want him to even acknowledge she exists as harsh as that sounds but this little girl already has psycho-biatch tendencies and behavior.

Anyways, she comes up to him last night and asks him to pay for her to ride.  He says no.  She then asks for him to pay for some other boy and again, asks him to pay for her as well.  He, again, says no.  This troubled little girl then proceeds to rub my son's arm and says she'll do favors for him.  My son felt so awkward that he left all of his friends and came back to the tent.  He sat there for like 2 hours and wouldn't talk to me or his father.  Hubby took a walk with him and finally got him to spill the beans on what's wrong.  Son didn't want me to know he was so embarrassed.

I am trying to stay rational by saying maybe she meant she'd be his best friend or something innocent little girls that age say to boys when they like them.  But my gut keeps telling me otherwise.  What 12 year old girl threatens to kick another 12 year old girl's butt over a 12 year old boy and makes a total scene about it?  That girl.  So, I know what she really meant and it makes me sad and mad at the same time.

And no, Michael.  I live in small town Ohio  laughing

I assume her family situation is, uh, not good. You know, we have 12 year olds around here getting pregnant quite often.

laughing Ha!  I was a teenage terror in junior high school.  headbang  I had my own bail bondsman, and my daddy prepaid, annually, a certain amount of bail money that I might require for that year.  It was always a certain amount of money, so I knew about how many times I could make bail for myself, without being stuck in jail with no more bail money.  A kid's gotta have a few checks and balances, right?

So, I just made that up.  I grew up a very sheltered life as a teen.  But I thought it was funny anyhow, and decided to interject it into this thread to brighten someone's mood a bit.  crazy tongue

You know, I think you have hit on a potential goldmine there-prepaid bail for teens. Or drug dealers. Or hookers. Can you imagine how well this service would sell in some neighborhoods? Like having arrest insurance! If nobody else is using this concept you have to patent it! This is a great idea!!!! sunny You could make a fortune off of this blob
Is somebody doing it already scratch (goes to look)

It seems no one has implemented this exciting idea yet, although it has been discussed

Hey!  That just might work out!  I'd have to have some great insurance to cover the vermin (cough...cough), er, clients who skipped on me.  I'd have to recoup my losses.  Actually, skip fees would be included in any contract signed by any of my "preferred" clients...so, I would be covered there.  My worst clients who skipped on bail might find themselves missing one nut, or perhaps both...depending on how much money I lost.  No one would mess with "Sticks Bail Bond Service".   Hammer

[/quote]

We went to a fair in Ohio a few weeks ago.  We watched the truck pulls and the grand kids rode some rides.  We enjoyed our time at the fair.   I did not see what we have seen at other fairs.  We go to the fairs in Michigan and I see how teenagers act and it makes me completely sick.  There is so much sexual abuse going on in our country.  Sometimes it is the fault of an adult taking advantage.  Other times it is the young children trying to act like adults and it turns into something else.  This is a sad situation all the way around.  This needs to be stopped.  We can try to do it, but the law has to make stricker sentences when this happens.

Good part about living in a small town is knowning the Sheriff when you get in minor trouble and usually can talk your way out of it.

Of course, that's also the BAD part.. I got his belt a few times. Actually, never got hit.. you know us Asians are perfect as children  whistle

I agree - you are are a very talented writer!  I was mesmerized by your post and could completely visualize myself being there.  I know exactly the type of kid you're talking about - can't stand em!

My son just turned 18 and we would NEVER allow him to act like that.  I think the problem with those kids is lack of parenting...well, obviously!  Or the parents act like that too (which is probably more the case).

Thank goodness you're done - I don't know how you kept from jumping over the counter and strangling one of them!

jen, I try not to judge the brats' parents because I catch my own kids doing things they have been taught not to do and acting in ways that they know mom and dad would not approve.  With that being said, however, I'm sure in some cases it is because of poor parenting or parents that act like that themselves.  The world certainly isn't overflowing with considerate, kind human beings that's for sure!  But I hold the teen accountable most of all because they're old enough to know better.

I'm glad I'm done as well.  Now I can concentrate on getting good deals while school shopping  Smile  Found some today @ Kohl's.  3 pairs of skate shoes for under $50  headbang
