I got sad news yesterday evening.
One of my aunts, who is only 55, got news from her Doctor yesterday that she only has 6 months to a year to live. She has bad lungs and has been on oxygen for years. She's on heavy steroids, has diabetes, and just got out of the hospital this week for having staff infection in her lungs that has spread into her blood.
Any prayers for her would be welcome.

My aunt was at the hospital a couple of days ago to get two pints of blood. Her staff infection in her lungs hasn't improved.
Yesterday she was put in intensive care in the hospital and the doctor told her it was time to think about hospice care.
The doctor is supposed to talk to her tonite with the family there about whether she wants to stay in the hospital or go home to die with hospice.
Mom is sad because of the situation. Mom had a dialysis shunt put in recently and although she loves my aunt she doesn't want to get near that staff infection mess with her arm still in stitches. Especially since she had a couple of bad staff infections last year herself.
The depression is thick here.

I will continue to say prayers for your family. I'll also say a prayer for the depression to pass. God bless you and your family in this trial.

They let her out of intensive care yesterday and put her in a room. Today they let her come home. She didn't last half a day being at home til she went back to the hospital. I think something is going to snap soon and they will put her in a nursing home. I'm sad again. Aunt Donna was going to move in with her daughter today but I don't know now. They've asked me to come pick up Lil Bit, Aunt Donna's rat terrior, whom I have house sitted and whom absolutely loves me. Continue in your prayers for my aunt.

Thank you for the prayers.
I took mom to visit Intensive Care yesterday and it was fortunate that we did. We got there and found that the doctor had alerted the family to come to talk with him. He was going to put Aunt Donna on a ventilater and told the family and aunt donna that she probably would NOT come off of it. However while he was talking with us she improved some, enough so, that the doctor forestalled the breathing tube for now.
We will see...

My aunt died last nite.
She had missed being on life support by a hair's breath last week. They had her stable and was going to send her home but she couldn't get out of bed with 3 people pushing and pulling. They found a rehab program at a nursing home to send her to but she argued so bad against going. Finally she resigned herself to going and doing rehab 3 hours a day.
Her first day in the nursing home yesterday and her diabetes sugar bottoms out at 44. They take her to the hospital to try to get it up but she died in the process.
I'm glad mom got to see her last week and talk with her on the phone all week.
Yet another person who will see Jesus before I do. At least I know she went to church both in her younger years and as recent as last year. I hope she made the decision.

I will pray for her. Pray for my son, too. He is 26 and was just diagnosed with testicular cancer. It is stage I, though and he is expected to recover completely.

Thanks.
I think the prayers are a bit late unless you are going to bring her from the dead. We buried her Saturday.
I will say a prayer for your son. Penile problems are the worst. I just passed a kidney stone myself. I'm sorry to hear about his problem.
Guess what!!
She won the Gourmet Magazine "Not Becoming My Mother" sweepstakes. A trip for two to Cabo San Lucas. I got the email today.
