only open to permanent legal residents of 47 states of the United States (“U.S.”) and the District of Columbia (“D.C.”), (excluding Vermont, North Dakota, Maryland, Guam, Puerto Rico and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions) who are currently physically located and residing therein, and who are at least 18 years of age or older as of December 29, 2011.
If a Contestant (as defined below) is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, then he/she must obtain and provide proof of parental/legal guardian consent prior to entering or submitting any personally identifiable information. Residents of Alabama or Nebraska who are between 18 – 19 years of age and residents of Mississippi between 18 – 21 years of age are considered to be minors. Contestants must also have a valid social security number and/or a valid U.S. personal tax identification number
FINISHED DISH MUST FIT IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: APPETIZER, SNACK, SIDE DISH, ENTRÉE OR DESSERT. FINISHED DISH MUST BE EDIBLE AND MUST NOT INCLUDE ALCOHOL, DRUGS, ANY ILLEGAL/ILLICIT SUBSTANCE, OR ANY OTHERWISE HARMFUL OR INEDIBLE SUBSTANCE.

Judging by Sponsor: all eligible Contest Entries will be judged by Sponsor and Sponsor’s representatives and (3) Semi-Finalists per Contest Entry Period will be determined by Sponsor and/or its representatives from all eligible Entries/Submissions received for that particular Contest Entry Period.
Submissions from one Contest Entry Period will NOT be retained for later Contest Entry Periods; to participate in more than one Contest Entry Period, you must enter separately during the additional Contest Entry Period.
Recipes will be judged based upon the following criteria:
1) Creativity (15 possible points);
2) All-Family Appeal (15 possible points);
3) Ease of Preparation (15 possible points); and
4) Palatable Appearance (15 possible points)
Each Contest Entry will receive a Judges score based on (60) total possible points. The Contestants who submitted eligible Submissions that received the top (3) highest Judging Scores for each Contest Entry Period will be declared semi-finalists

Public Judging: Beginning on or about 9:00:00 A.M. PT on March 26, 2012 and continuing until on or about 11:59:59 P.M. PT on April 8, 2012 all Finalists’ Submissions, including Recipes, Sponsor Photos, Essays, First Names, City, and State will be posted on the Website in order for members of the general public (“Voters”) to review and judge.
Voters must be at least (18) years of age or older as of March 26, 2012 and be current legal residents of one of the (50) states of the U.S. or D.C. to vote.
Voters will be provided the Judging Criteria, described above, and instructed to score the Finalist Photos according to those criteria and select the single Finalist which they rate the highest according to the Judging Criteria, and otherwise act in accordance with these Official Rules.
Limit (1) vote per day per Voter throughout the Public Judging Period.
Limit (1) Finalist Prize per person/family/household for the entire Contest Period
(11) Prizes will be awarded in this Contest.
(1) Finalist Prize per Contest Entry Period (“Finalist Prize”) and (1) Grand Prize as fully described below:
(10) Finalist Prizes consist of:* Each Finalist prize winner will receive (1) $500 pre-paid Gift Card (issuer to be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion) and $75 in the form of Chef Boyardee free product coupons. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each Finalist Prize is $575.
(1) Grand Prize consists of: (1) year’s supply of groceries in the form of a gift card(s) to winner’s favorite retailer. Retailer to be determined by winner and subject to Sponsor’s approval. ARV $5,200. Prize based on $100 per week in grocery costs.
