I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, and our temps are still hovering in the high 80's.  Can I wear a summer dress with white sandals, or is that totally still a fashion faux pas?

sunny  It's my own personal opinion, that I will wear what I like. I don't really care what others think.
I would go with it myself. I think alot of it also plays out on what part of the country you live in. Here in the Northwest nobody would care what color your shoes are.  I'm guessing that if you live in a metro area that off white would be more appropriate.
I'm guessing more people will be talking about what the bride wore. Sorry I wasn't much help.

I would wear the shoes. If you like the way they look and the way they feel that's all that matters. I wore 3 inch heels at my daughters wedding and They looked great but boy they are not the most confortable shoes.

Of course, you can wear them.  I've gone to many weddings, and everyone usually wears what they want, short of jeans of course!LOL

I don't even know of any type of required protocol for weddings anymore.

Only one wedding I went to where I had to just dress on the dressier side (just because it was a no-brainer) was a Park Avenue wedding in New York City where the reception was held in one of those exclusive private clubs that people like CEO's and presidents belong to.

The last wedding I went to I was dressed more like Erykah Badu-or a colorblind Sikh....
