I need to vent. I am so stressed out. I took kailey to school today. They checked her head, and said that she still has nits in her hair. So she can't stay.
So I asked them to check my head, I have no one to check it. And its hard for me to check it. I did the shampoo but couldnt get any thing out of my hair, because its hard to look at your own head!!
Well they looked, and said I do have lice. Ughhhhh.
So now I dont know what to do. I have missed two days of work. Had to buy rid shampoo like 3 times.
If that wasn't bad enough, we have been having problems with are computer, dialing up. Yep we still have slow dial up.
Well anyways about 3 months ago, we switch from bellsouth, to comcast. Just our phone service. Well Bell south kept sending us bills. We couldn't figure out why.
For the past 3 months, we have basically had comcast and bellsouth. Not knowing it. Comcast had told my husband they would cancel with bellsouth. THey didn't. SO we sopposly owe bellsouth about $200.
Since the computer is in the other room, I didn't realize that comcast, we would need to hook the computer phoneline up to the comcast box.
Thats why we still had dial up. because of bell south.

SOrry I am just really frustrated. And my husband won't get these dumb things out of my hair. I don't know if he is just dumb, or what. But  he keeps looking and says, I don't see anything.

 Oh my! So sorry to hear that you are still having problems. Wish I could be there to help. Anytime you have kids and school you have lice. I went thru this several times with my grandkids. Besides using the Rid you must also clean all the bedding. As far as your hubby goes, those nits are very hard to see, especially if you don't know what you are looking for and if you have lighter colored hair. Hang in there. We are here if you need to vent again.

Okay ~ the Rid does not work!  I know this by using it on Ashelyn's hair.  If you have tried the LiceFreee! shampoo and it didn't work call your doctor and let them write a prescription for some shampoo.  Bag up the stuff animals for at least two weeks, wash the bedding again.  Boil the combs and brushes. And most importantly, get a good friend to look through your hair.  Wash it first.  Then let her go through it just a few hairs at a time.  You might want to get some of the tiny hair clips to seperate the hair.

I know it is a pain.  I know it personally.  If I was near you I would go through your hair.

Oh, one more hint ~ go outside to check your hair in the daylight.  It is amazing how much more you can see in the daylight than under a bright light.  I put Ashelyn in the hammock with me and had her lay her head on my lap and went through it like that.  I use tweezers and pull the hair out at the root ~ no left eggs like that!

Now ~ take a deep breath and realize that this to will pass :D   Then hope and pray that you never have to do this again!!!

Good luck!  I am here if you need me!

Dealing with two big headaches on a Monday morning...breathe deeply and try to do something nice for yourself. These things will take time and several people here have given you the best advice and support from their experience.

I would just add that if you are the kind of person who likes to also have something in writing, there are several good websites. Here are three. You don't need to read every word!

Good info and FAQs:
http://www.headlice.org/

Check out the Do's and Don'ts
http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/infections/common/lice.html

Good luck!

Remember there is a 7-10 day incubation period, so re-check and treat, even if everything looks ok.
