My screen froze up earlier so I clicked ctrl alt del and something came up other than the usual thing and I hit discharge.. well now my screen is dark and the battery icon is showing in the task bar and it says its discharging.. what does that mean? how do I stop it? and if I cant stop it what will happen?   laughing

from the sounds of it , seems like it will drain your batteries so that they can be recharged again, they usually call it reconditioning so your batteries in your laptop don't develop a memory assuming we are talking about a laptop.

yes its laptop.. so what happens when it reaches zero in 1 hr 6 minutes   laughing  how will I recharge it? does it do it automatically?

it will recharge if you have it pluged into an outlet , so you have an hours worth of battery power then it will go dead unless pluged in to recharge.

the laptop needs to be plugged in? I never unplug the laptop.  so once its done discharging it will just start charging again?   laughing  thanks lee for helping me as you can tell im clueless.

well if you never unplug you rarely use the battery power so discharging it may not be a bad thing , that way it will get a fresh charge  Smile
