If anyone ever gets an email from the UK National Lottery Stating that they won a cash jackpot but they need to pay a fee to claim, it is a scam.

One of our members got this email and I found plenty of articles on Google about this fraud.

FYI

Ken,

I just received a winning notification email from the UK National Lottery stating that I my email address was drawn for the 2nd prize of $144,000 plus pounds.

I knew right away to check with my most trusted sweepstakes source to find out if this was a scam and there it is!!!  :(

Thank you so much for the wonderful in-depth information you provide.

Hey guys, in the last week I have received six "Lottery" emails from different places including the UK National Lottery.  They all say WINNING NOTIFICATION in the subject. I read up on them and it says if the email isn't addressed to you personally (e.g. just says 'dear sir or madam' or 'you have been selected'), and says you won by 'randomly selected numbers' and 'keep this confidential in order to keep from double claiming' do NOT send them any personal information.  These letters look real at first glance because of the company name, address, and phone number, and there aren't any misspellings or grammatical errors like most of the other scams I have received.  Watch out everyone.
