It's called UPS My Choice, there's a big ad for it on the UPS home page. You sign up for free, they run some questions to verify you're you, and once you join you get a day's notice when UPS will deliver a package (with some options to reroute to a different address, delay, etc some of which they charge fees for).

FedEx doesn't offer a similar service yet.
