Apparently I entered a sweeps a while back, maybe for US Weekly...the typical "subscribe" selection must have been clicked during the entry process...anyway...US Weekly sent me to a COLLECTIONS AGENCY for $64.48...when I called them, they said..."we sent you two issues back in Nov 07"...  I don't remember getting those magazines...but $64.48 for two issues...pretty steep!   They were pretty nasty about the whole thing, she said "I got your name on quite a few magazines that you never paid for!"...I told her they were probably generated from sweepstakes entries...so watch out fellow sweepers....

It further alleges North Shore Agency mass mailed threatening debt collection letters to intimidate consumers into paying non-existent debts.

North Shore Agency, Inc. is a subsidiary of Outsourcing Solutions Inc. North Shore Agency, Inc. claims on its Web site that the company is one of the nation's largest billing and collection letter companies, which specializes in the creation, production, printing, preparation and mailing of billing, collection and direct response marketing letters throughout the U.S. and Canada. I have the same problem, received 3 issues a month or so ago and I didn't subscribe either. I couldn't figure out if they were free issues or what but, that magazine is way over-rated with the price and I refuse to pay for it.

I was sent a couple of issues a couple of months back & had to mail them their invoices twice saying I didn't subscribe & wasn't interested.  Definitely a problem on their side.
