I hope it is okay to post this here.  In the past week I have been getting these e-mails, I have NOT opened any one of them, as I knew they had to be some sort of scam.   It really bothers me because I am VERY careful about what I enter as I do not want to receive tons of spam.   Anyway, I don't know how they got my e-mail, all I can think of is it was from a sweeps entry because that is what I use this e-mail addy for, but again, I am as careful as can be to only enter legit ones and I don't enter a lot compared to what some sweepers enter.   The subject lines are something like these:  (I have put in bold the ones I have received so far)

You’ve received a greeting card from a admirer!
You’ve received a greeting card from a class mate!
You’ve received a greeting card from a class-mate!
You’ve received a greeting card from a colleague!
You’ve received a greeting card from a family member!
You’ve received a greeting card from a friend!
You’ve received a greeting card from a mate!
You’ve received a greeting card from a neighbor!
You’ve received a greeting card from a neighbour!
You’ve received a greeting card from a partner!
You’ve received a greeting card from a school friend!
You’ve received a greeting card from a school mate!
You’ve received a greeting card from a school-mate!
You’ve received a greeting card from a worshipper!
You’ve received a greeting ecard from a admirer!

As I said, I knew it had to be some sort of scam so I have reported each one as "spam" and deleted immediately.   I just looked it up online and found this, (which is how I found the list above) I hope it is okay to post a link about it:

http://www.avertlabs.com/research/blog/index.php/2007/06/29/w32nuwarmm-its-raining-postcards/

They show up in my e-mail as coming from e-card places I have heard of:  hallmark.com, 123greetings.com, and these I had not heard of:  dgreetings.com, riversongs.com.   If you look them up they are legit sites, but of course these e-mails are not coming from legit sites.

I just wanted to warn others, as I said, I think they had to come from entering a sweeps as I can't figure out how else this e-mail addy of mine got out there, but however it happened just wanted to pass on the warning that's it is BAD!

I get them too. Our evening news (tv) came on with a warning on these. Not to open! I did open one and it was empty (before I knew about the warning) and thank goodness my email program caught the virus!!! Our news said they were being sent from overseas and they were looking into finding the people. Won't hold my breath.
