I'm not normally a cynic, but this one sent the warning bells in my head clamoring. I got a call this evening telling me it was Walmart/Target customer appreciation month(um, aren't they competitors?) & that I'd won a family vacation package for four & a 100 dollar gas certificate. However, she also told me they'd send the prize US mail ("directly to my mailbox"), there was no mention of an affidavit or 1099 (shouldn't there be on a prize like that?), & she wanted 5.90 for processing. I hung up the phone. This was a blatant attempt to gain access to my private financial information, right? Please someone tell me this was a scam.
