Hey guys,

I had gmail, Sweeps Advantage and Need for Coffee open entering their sweeps when all of a sudden my computer started flashing Win 7 Antivirus warnings -- all of my windows (5 NeedCoffee, gmail and SweepsAdvantage) went to warnings and then my internet wouldn't work.  I'm in safemode now cleaning my system but thought I better warn everyone -- I'm almost certain it came from NeedCoffee.  I'm sure it didn't come from SA, and I'm almost certain it wasn't google.

I had a problem with the same site.  My malware stopped what ever it was, but it blocked the site and microsoft shut my computer down to protect the system

It took about 3 hours to get my computer fixed, but I'm back up and running.
My Norton had expired and I hadn't renewed it, but I have now!

I have been to this site many times with no problem, so not sure why today there was a problem, but I do feel certain it was that site.  With updated protection, I'm tempted to go back and see if I get a warning, but tonight, I am too tired.  I just hope no one else got infected.

My computer freezes each time I visit this site.  I have stopped going.  Sorry about your computer, but glad you're up and running!

My son got the XP version of this nasty on my old laptop - he wasn't sweeping at the time.

judge just got nailed too and I found a site with instructions if anyone else gets it:

It's likely it was already on but something triggered it - just opening an email can infect you, or the rotating ads on any site can carry it, so *everyone* is at risk and should *always* protect their comp:

I have been submitting NeedCoffee myself to SA for approx 9 yrs until recent..and have only one time seen anything come up. But then I have seen my virus protector (Microsoft Essents) blast off just signing into the forums.

Thanks for the heads-up. I go there every day and haven't had any problem, but I'll be on the lookout.

Highly unlikely it was that site.

That virus you mentioned recently made the rounds in the internet community 'very aggressively' and was able to bypass a lot of protections on a lot of people's computers.

If you watched any 'videos' online (i.e., video sharing sites), you could have gotten it that way too. Or e-mails...
