I received a cashier's check written out to me for nearly $5,000.  The check looks so real . . . but I knew right away that it had to be a scam.  First off – who would send a cashier’s check without warning in an envelope without a return address????

It came from Shoppers Input Inc. [sic] and requires me to call a number for detailed instructions on how to handle the money. It is suppose to be a mystery shopper job opportunity.  I am suppose to use the $$$$ at the following stores.

•   Wal-Mart -- $50
•   GAP -- $40
•   Western Union transfer (to Shoppers Input Inc.) -- $1,579
•   Western Union service charge -- $99
•   MoneyGram transfer (to Shoppers Input Inc.) -- $2,873
•   MoneyGram service charge -- $57

Yeah right the Western Union transfer (to Shoppers Input Inc.) -- $1,579 and MoneyGram transfer (to Shoppers Input Inc.) -- $2,873 are dead giveaways!

The check look soooooo real I am tempted to deposit it to my account and see how long it takes the bank to realize it is a fake.

My friend Jimmi did that once. We got it straight on grounds of his impairment (he has advanced HIV and has had several brain infections so he had not a clue it was not real) The bank fees were enourmous!
