totalfilm.com has got its internet-comedy-weaving hands on some glorious exclusive Watchmen footage, and we figured it’d only be fair to share it with our friends: you lot.

And make no mistake, this isn’t a tribute video from the excellent viral campaign.

This is honest-to-goodness new and exclusive footage from the film – an extension of the scene glimpsed in the trailer featuring The Comedian and Nite Owl II quelling a superherophobic crowd of bottle-throwers.
If you arent familiar with watchmen ..http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/watchmen/

Quote
A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, the film is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the Watchmen?

I know people are talking about how great this is going to be.. blah, blah.. I just dont see it. I have this feeling that it is going to be really, really bad. Movies based on comics rarely do the comics justice. I hope im wrong about this one.

Considering the problems that have arisen in adapting previous Alan Moore works...

Constantine seemed to cause the most fan backlash due to the casting(and someone apparently edits references to it out of Moore's wiki article daily laughing). From Hell nearly got it right...V for Vendetta....at least they will never be able to make a movie out of Lost Girls crazy tongue

I cant stand keanu reeves but I really liked Constantine. Moore created the character but later the character was given his own series(hellblazer) written by Delano and Ridgway.  Its little changes to a character that bother me. like his hair color. I know its stupid but it aggravates me. would it have killed them to stick to that. or the accent? no I dont think so.   laughing  still it was entertaining.

V for Vendetta was just bad. I didnt care for from hell and The league of extraordinary gentlemen was one of the worse movies I have ever seen.   nono
Its hard to translate a comic to film and do it well. Comic people are crazy ya know and not fond of changes.

Exclusive: Why Alan Moore Hates Comic-Book Movies

Quote
It seems hard to believe after the epic struggle to get it to the big screen, but it’s only a matter of weeks before we can all go and see Watchmen at the cinema.

We, like you, can’t bloody wait. But there’s one man who definitely won’t be seeing it, not now, not ever.

totalfilm.com sat down with Alan Moore to find out why he hates the film industry so much.

As you might expect, he doesn't hold back. So if you’re easily offended, look away now...
