At about 11:30 PM Saturday a website migration start by our hosting company. While Sweepstakes Plus has not been effected Sweepstakes Advantage is still down.
We are working with our host to restore the site asap. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm a Sweepstakes Plus member and my saved, categorized sweeps are gone and only what looks like expired or someone else's saved sweeps.

I am a sweepstakes plus member also, and I am having problems with showing expired sweepstakes, etc..

Everything should be back to normal after Ken and the hosting co. get it straightened out. If not, then we can address the freakiness. I'm sure all of our sweeps and categories wiil be back to normal soon.  whistle

I am not able to log into my sweepsPlus it keep logging me into the free account. I paid my membership. up until last night i did not have a problem. what is going on. Why is it not showing me as a plus member?

We are in the middle of a Migration from one data center to another. You should be able to login from www.sweepstakesplus.com . These changes effect dns and could take an hour to several hours to come into effect.

Many people are able to login to SA again but there are sporadic reports of either missing my sweepstakes or
other information. This data is in sync from the old data center to the new one. It should be all caught up
eventually.  If you are experiencing this problem please give this some time before submitting a case or
sending email. Thanks.

I can see my sweepstakes okay if I refresh the page. Plus I had to manually remove all December 31 sweeps from my saved sweepstakes. I hope this gets fixed quick!

Just an update that data is not in sync yet. We are working with the hosting company. No firm eta yet.

OK, just to let everyone know we are extremely unhappy with this migration from our host.
I've never seen anything like it in my several years of hosting experience. It was advertised
as a "transparent migration" and it's certainly not.

The sync that is being performed is a not working. There is a data mis match that is accounting
for the problems people are seeing on the site. In current sweepstakes and my sweepstakes.

I've decided to have them restore a full backup of the database from approximately 1-15 / 1-16 .

After the backup is restored we then have to restore some incremental snapshots of the
certain tables to include updates performed since the migration. 

Then we can delete all the old sweepstakes listings from the site and everything should be back to normal.

For the time being until I post that the restore has been completed I wouldn't use my sweepstakes or
sweepscheck because this data may be lost.  ( You can continue to enter any sweepstakes you wish )

After all of this is completed we should be ok.

*I'll post here when all of this has been completed. This should be completed today.

Thanks Ken for all your hard work. When all this is completed, does that mean the "My Sweeps" that I have saved will be back? I'm only missing 2 or 3 from my "Enter Daily" as far as I can tell. They are the HGTV and FrontDoor sweeps and a John Deere sweep. If I notice any thing after the migration that isn't right I will email. Again thanks for all your hard work we really do appreciate it.

The categories I am getting are mine, but I reorganized and changed alot of them almost 2 weeks ago and these are prior to the change.  I am missing one category that I probably won't be able to duplicate the sweeps that were in it ... it was 2 do later, one entry ones I wanted to enter but hadn't taken the time to enter yet.  Since I check off all the sweeps pop boxes most days when I enter to I know I either moved it to 'my category', entered it or decided against it, I don't think I can duplicate what was in the category without dq'ing myself with duplicate entries.

also I had categories for Leitesculinarry ... 2 per day and 3 per day ... they are gone, so what I am seeing are the categories from before I got my new computer the first week of Jan.  I am in the process of trying to get my categories back to where I want them ...

We learned some lessons from this migration to another data center. When/If this happens again ( probably not for several years )
we'll have a better plan for the data and not rely on our hosting company.

From this point forward everyone can start working in My Sweepstakes and SweepsCheck again. Thank you for your patience.

As I try to re-construct my missing categories I am finding some sweeps are no longer even in the data base.  They seem to be those run by magazine, particularly those that offer a prize each day.  They may be there, but, for example, when I search BHG I don't get their daily prize sweeps.

If we don't have our saved sweeps showing correctly by now, are you saying that they are lost?  My categories for cash and gift cards are completely gone........
