I have gotten a couple of weird ones lately I think it would be nice to have a place to put them so others dont delete by mistake. so, If you have gotten a winning email post the subject so others know what to look for.
Angelica CDJ Congrats!!! -this one is from classic du jour. almost deleted today.
cartoonnetwork@ sji-inc.com [SPAM] - Cartoon Network and Naruto - Found word(s) click on the link in the Tex... - They were giving away 10,000 of these headbands so their should be lots of winners. good luck everyone

I've gotten at least one or two winning emails where the subject was completely empty. Gotta wonder what some folks are thinking sometimes.

It's a good thing that I check my trash every time I check my email - otherwise I would have missed several winners notification emails!

So how do we really know that the email notification is real and not just some bogus sites who are phishing? But anyway, thanks for those email notifications that you have just posted. I will check my trash and bulk if I have some of those notifications and I might be a winner.

If anyone sells anything on a public site and the buyer claims that they want to pay by cashiers check, pay you a little extra money for postage and have a messenger pick up the item, IT IS A SCAM! Report it as junk or spam. Etheldaylily

Watch our for the PayPal scam where they claim that you need to access your account because someone tried to access it other than you. They want you to reply to verify your email!
Also, I received a $3,500. cashiers check that was genuine in every way but I called the bank first and after they explained the scam to me I threw the check away.

I tried entering the current Visit Florida sweep to win a trip to Orlando and my computer started to go bezerk. I received all these pop ups stating that a virus was trying to enter my computer and my virus scanner stopped it.

I have yet to win anything other than an instant, so I'm not sure what to think. In the subject line it says winner and it's from Missy Ashton. This is to correct the message earlier on sent to you. The correct e-mail address you should contact for your claim processing is national agents@yahoo.com.my You should forward your response to this corrected e-mail address. Once again, we are sorry for the miss up. Yours Truly, Missy Ashton The wierd thing is I don't recall an earlier e-mail. I have no idea as to what contest/sweepstakes, what information they may be asking for etc.. I did reply just explaing that I'd been contacted by e-mail from her in response to a possible winner's notification however, I didn't recall an earlier e-mail and that if they could contact me with any information regaurding this subject it would be greatly appreciated. What do you think about this? Thank you.

I try to maintain a list of all sweeps I enter online. A good rule of thumb is that if you didn't enter it you can't win it. So any winning email is checked against my list. If it's from something I didn't enter I know it's a scam. Of course there is always the small chance someone entered for me but usually a friend or family member would let me know. It's amazing how many times my email has won the Spanish Super lotto, the Nigerian sweepstakes, and the European jackpot. If I only had the same luck with my state lotto or Publishers Clearing House.(LOL)

Since I started sweeping I probably get 500 spam emails per day. There's no way I am going to look through them all. The reason I know it's since I started sweeping is because I gave myself an email address just for doing sweeps so I wouldn't have it mixed up with my normal e-mail.

use the force, luke. if it smells funny, don't eat it. what i'm trying to say is only enter contests u know are legit. i have had trojans & everything else since i started entering. i try to enter sweeps that have a product on the market, like ford or frenches mustard ect.ect. don't let the ask holes get the upper hand. you get enough B.S without adding it yourself. please excuse my language.

If you get a fake check in the snail mail, give it to your local postmaster. Those checks are crimes that are felonies, and they actively pursue leads on this type of activity.

When you've gotten used to receiving win notifications, you can easily tell the difference between a scam and a real one. I only use my regular ISP address for everything and I block any spam emails I get to cut down on them getting into my email. I don't get much spam at all. Only some of those lottery and bank security ones.
I do get alot of newsletters and advertisements, etc., that were required to receive in order to enter many sweepstakes; but that doesn't classify as spam.

Hello Everyone, Thanks for all the great advice here. I am fustrated with all the spam myself. I have not recieved a winning email from anyone that I know of and it takes me hours to delete all the spam and click on ones that I think are winners but end up being ads that give me a percentage off if I shop there. I dont know what to look for cause i get several messages from some of the sweeps i enter just as advertisments. I did however have my first win and it was an awesome win. It was a package of Razor products, skooter, scatebord, ramp, helmet, backpack and a three wheel scooter about $700 worth. I was so thrilled but I was never contacted the Fed X guy just showed up at my house two days in a row. My kids were amazed it was all toys. I was gonna save them for Christmas but my first win I couldnt it really was Christmas in July for them. I have not won anything since. Im afraid Im overlooking them or maybe just no wins. I loved the home delivery as opposed to have to find a win in email and respond within a certain period of time. I use live email and I realized yesterday that you can search ur email for certain subject lines line congrats and it will pull up only ur emails with that subject line which would save allot of time if I knew what to search for lol. so a list of winning subject lines ould be great for us all. I wish everyone allot of luck. Im spending my entire day just going through and checking and deleting emails today which cuts into my sweeps time. I get hundreds of email a day just from entering sweeps. thanks for posting and be sure to check ur email for search ur mail this helps when you need to scan through it. Have Blessed day..

Not always true, especially for smaller sweeps, I started sweeping a few weeks ago and have received four wins and they were all from the E-mails of indiviuals not of the site I won from. I've gotten all thewins since by mail and Fed Ex.

you will probably not get a email from a .org site unless you requested. .org are legit. http://www.pbs.org/ public broadcasting system(?) www. democrats.org check out here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.orgI do a search about once a week using keywords such as winner, congradulations, prize. Gives me less to go through at one time and delete as at least 99% are not legit.
