Usually, when one votes for one member, they vote for them all. It's time-consuming, and many don't have the time for it.
Also, not everyone will leave a comment saying that they voted.
I have long since stopped asking for votes. Anywhere you go, it becomes a popularity contest; and, many times, the best entry doesn't stand a chance of winning.
One thing you will find no matter what site you use, there are members who will have their own personal reasons for not voting for someone--not familiar with them, don't like them, etc.
Plus, not many members frequent the referral thread.

When I vote I rarely post that I have. We do have a group of people who are very diligent about voting for others. We may not have the numbers that some other forums have but our members do the best they can and really try to help others out.
ETA~ Since a lot of members never make into the vote section maybe you should put a link to your entry in your siggy. That way when you post people who never go into that section will see it and maybe take the time to vote for you.

Yep, voting contests are the worst . I'd rather have a bone marrow biopsy than enter one. Some folks are very sucessful with them, however.

I'm all for them doing away with them and just have the sponsor judge and choose the entry.
You can't compete with those who can rally up 100's of votes each day, especially when they get a banner on the homepage of website rallying their members together to vote. Most of these entries compared to others don't deserve the prize.
It's sad to see those more deserving lose out time and time again just because they don't know or have enough people to votes for them.
Sugarloot doesn't even follow their own rules of choosing from the top entries. They just keep giving the prize to the one in first place.

I am happy to answer any questions from members, but when they have already received a correct answer/reply I just move on. As busy as things have been around here, I figure it's more important to get the vote in than to comment on it.

I agree and that's why I don't vote.

I vote allot for people and try to vote for them all and did vote for you also, but I never ever post anymore when I vote ,because for awhile when I was posting I was getting so many people asking me to vote, no time for entering sweeps, so maybe you got allot more help then you know. but you really don't sound ugly. I hate voting contest because always end up feelings hurt, so don't go there. anyway be glad to help with questions or anything i can, but fair warning i not good at techy stuff at all, hang in there and you will find you have allot of friends, just don't know them all yet.

I do vote a lot for people still but don't post a lot mainly because of time and the mod duties also.Plus that makes my sweeping time cut also and when there are many people in the same contest there are some that get mad because they don't see a post on there thread. And believe me I see threads .

It took me awhile to find your thread - I'm voting - I like these kinds - I don't have to sign up for an account/try to decipher one of those alpha - numerical codes!!!

Seriously...Red is being serious here. In fact, she's probably had a bone marrow biopsy at some point in her life.
