It's supposed to be in the upper 70's this weekend.  The leaves are finally turning.  It will be beautiful!  You can't beat a weekend like this in New England.  Let me tell you, those Long Islanders will be jealous!!!!!!!!   laughing

On a side note, did you see those Easter Bon Bons.  YUMMY!  But alas, I think I will bake an apple pie.  It's something to do with autumn being in the air and the fact that I have a huge can a caramel to put on top of it.  Not to worry, I will have a Hershey Kiss or two with it!   laughing

Nah, not jealous at all.  We're all over the place all the time.  My family used to go up to Stowe, VT every weekend in the winter.  We're always in New York State and shopping in Middletown.  We went to Stowe last year and ate our way through Cabot!! laughing  We're also up in Connecticut alot and go to Massachusetts quite often.  The ferry is just down the road from us and it drops us in New London, CT.  We also go to the Big E every year and eat our way through the fair!! crazy tongue

Here, we're still running the air conditioners.  It's been in the 70's and very humid.  I hate the humidity, so I just put the air on.

Send a piece of that pie down here with extra caramel!!! Smile

We had the bad storms come through yesterday ~ now our temps are suppose to be in the mid 70's today.  There were 10 tornados in the area last night.  Jimmie got forced to stay at work last night because of people not being able to get in to work.  There was a tornado that went through the county that he is working in and they had golf ball size hail.  He isn't looking forward to going out and looking at the car this morning.  He said it got pretty nasty there last night.  Our TV's had weather coverage from 6:00~10:00 straight!  It was a long night!!

Next time you come up for the Big E, I will make you your own pie.  I live 2 miles from there!   headbang  I can't tell you how happy I am that it is over for the year!   laughing

Next year, if you haven't already done so, check out the blueberry pie in the New Hampshire building!   headbang

Seen them, but I'm not a blueberry pie person.  My favorites are pecan pie and apple crumb (extra crumbs)!!  However, we must have eaten everything else there.  I can imagine your glad when the traffic is gone.  I hate even trying to get in there.  Thankfully, they just rerouted traffic when we got there, and it was better that way.  It's only just over an hour to get there from the ferry.

mine is a day like today. Its grey, cold and wet. perfect day to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book. Im making the coffee now.  laughing  Days like this suit my personality.  Whats your fav weather day? sunny, raining, cloudy? and why?

Your grey, cold and wet day sounds good to me as well.  I can sleep in, listening to the rain on the metal roof of my home.  Overcast skies and rain does not bother me or bring me "down" emotionally.

I also enjoy those wonderful Fall days immediately after a cold front has passed through.  The sky is a brilliant, clear blue, the air is fresh and the wind is crisp and chilly.  The smell of burning leaves and fireplaces waft across the area....wonderful!  Smile
