First of all, I am very thankful for each and very tiny win...a tube of gel from Redken, a coupon for cupcakes, movie tickets from Coke. I realize in the grand scheme of things I am blessed.
I must however, vent a bit and ask - how many years of persistence does it take to get a substantial win? I enter EVERYTHING and have done so for almost a decade now. (Sorry for the Eyore moment, I finished graduate school 2 years ago and STILL no job with a mountain of student loans and my neighbor's dog ATE my daughters' cat after he escaped the other night.) Whine, whine, whine, let's get a win more than a box of twinkies.

jeaniedg - I know we have members who win at least 1 biggie a year, but it took me just shy of 6 years entering online {after doing snails in the late 80's/early 90's with very few wins} to finally win a BIG GP  I got & returned the affy 1/12/10 & got the confirmation letter shortly afterwards so in 6 - 8 weeks, when I have it in my hot little hands, I'll post  |

Hi. I have just been reading posts for the last couple of weeks, I'm a transplant from another sweeps site.. I love SA!! My whine is that I have been sweeping (2-3 hours a day EVERY DAY) for months! I won a coupon for toilet bowl cleaner and .. and.. um.. oh yeah thats right..THAT IS ALL!! I'm ready to give up-- then I think well, I'm already sitting here at the dumb box so I'll just enter today. I just want something..one of those surprises in my mailbox you all talk about..free gas, some groceries? Do you think it will help if I squeeze out a couple sorry for me tears? Has anyone tried that?  |

I need to whine a bit myself, I haven't won anything in quite some time (since mid 2009) I'm hoping for the Santa Fe Million Dollar home that HGTV is giving away in February, wouldn't that be something! I wonder if it's real, if they truly give a house away. Anyway, if I can't win the house then I'll settle for ANYTHING, just so I can say I won in 2010. Nothing so far and I've entered every day. I hope whining = a win. I won a granola bar last month but aside from that I haven't won anything since July/Aug of 2009. I feel my name must be with all the sweeps to make sure I don't win, am I banned? Black listed? Persona non grata?

I've been whining a lot lately and still haven't won a thing. It's been almost a year since I've had even a small win. How can that be? You'd think the law of averages would catch up with me sooner or later! :(
I'd love even a little win right now, just to have something good happen. It's been all bad lately - broke a tooth this weekend and it will cost $1300 to get it fixed, my car won't pass the state inspection in March unless I have some expensive repairs done, which means I won't be able to drive it legally, more medical bills, still haven't been able to replace the PC that died last fall, and it goes on and on and on...
I don't expect to win enough to take care of my enormous debts; I don't even expect to win a car or a PC. I'd just like any kind of win, even a little one like a book or dvd, just to have something positive in my life. My luck is so bad that everyone I know is joking about it. :(

I need to do a little whining. I won2 tickets to the New York Wedding Party, but didn't get the message for my info from twitter so WeTv is supposed to send me a bag of goodies but I don't know if they got my info! They haven't tweeted me back to tell me if they have. Didn't get my ipod touch from the YES Box sweepstakes. I have never gotten my subway gift card I spent my coke reward points on and didn't get my daughters subscription to seventeen magazine I spent my coke reward points on. I wish my luck would hurry up and change!

Ok, so I enter probably about 300 or more sweeps a day. I've been doing it for about 4 months now. I have yet to win anything. Nothing. What am I doing wrong. I enter dailies and instants mostly. Does the time you enter matter? I would really like to win just one thing to get me motivated again. Also, What's the average amount of sweeps you enter everyday? Thanks for allowing me to whine.  ok I need a little Cheese with my whine too. I havent won anything in online sweeps YET! I did win a very nice Epson printer (299.00 value) from signing up at a local radio station and a Santana cd (15.99 value). I want to know how it feels when UPS or FedEx brings me something I have won and I don't have to go pick it up lol Persistance and patients I hope will pay off soon, I will keep entering!

Here's a good whine for you.
Go to a local Vera Bradley bingo fundraiser today.
Can't believe it get Bingo on one of the special cards -$125 gc for Vera Bradley. Only 1 to call Bingo. They check my numbers and it's good. Walking towards me with the gc and an older lady says to her granddaughter (as she looks at the card - it was the letter P) you have bingo too. So the little girl yells Bingo and low and behold they stop and check. Good Bingo. It's a tie breaker. Pick a number AND of course I lose...... Nothing like grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory or something like that.
So here I am to whine and hope for a bigger better win to recoup what goes down for me as a loss.
