ANOTHER SORRY?!? Oh Nooooo!

« on: June 09, 2008, 02:06:18 PM »

OK...I need to vent.  My family was extremely blessed when my husband got a new job this year with a huge pay raise...we thought we'd be able to pay off our last remaining bills and then throw a bunch of money at our mortgage and get it paid off within the next 7 or 8 years.  Now we are getting bombarded with unexpected bills!  Our leach field went, my car needed some major service, my son needs to have all 4 of his wisdom teeth extracted and our oil company wants a $4.05 lock-in rate that would need to be paid in July (1,000 gallons - that's $4,050 folks!)

So why is it that just when you think you can get ahead, life throws a bunch of lemons your way!  I need a major sweeps win FAST or a REALLY GOOD lemonade maker!   crazy tongue

Good luck all!

Ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

sunny Maybe you need to look at the positive side. Your family is still blessed. Your husband has a great job that provides more income to your family. It may be tough but you will be able to take care of all the big expenses that have come your way. Just imagine for a minute if you had all those expenses coming in and your husband had been laid off without any prospects of getting called back or finding a new job.  That's exactly what many people are facing right now.
cheers Here's hoping you realize just how blessed you are and that the sweep gods are good to you!

I feel your pain.  We got bombarded last week, just when we thought we were totally caught up.  Thank heavens that we have propane or I don't know what we'd do if we had to have that kind of money by July!

I have the lemonade recipe if you want to borrow it!   cry

Hang in there Sweepy.  Take a deep breath and tackle one issue at a time.  That helps to put each issue into perspective.  I know when my plate gets full, like yours is now, I need to take one at a time or I feel overwhelmed and almost hopeless.  Tackling one at a time gives me perspective and I can rationally handle each one.  I still want to cry, but I don't feel like they are suffocating me.

Things will get better.  There's too much going on, that is outside our control, these days that are impacting our lives.  You can only do what you can do and accept the rest.

Hope things start improving soon.  Smile

I don't know how people are going to pay for heating fuel this winter. cry I'm just going to get all the cats in the house and sleep with them... crazy tongue or something. You may wish to lay in a good supply of whatever high protein high calorie beverage your kid will drink (we used Ensure Plus)-he'll heal faster, with less risks of complications.
