Im sooo disappointed in vick. what was he thinking. I am a huge falcons fan. Have been for years and im just disgusted that he might be involved with something like this.  Im not sure how this will effect the team but it cant help.

The indictment indicates that he was doing this clear back in 2001.  In April 2002 on the day he was drafted there was a lengthy interview done and is online.  He talks about owning a pair of pit bulls and planning to start a kennel.  His dog fighting started before he joined the NFL.

People too often grow up in cultures where animal neglect and/or cruelty is the norm.  They cannot see the harm being done.  I grew up thinking rodeos were fun and saw some but now know how many animals are killed or die because of rodeos.

He is supposed to be a role model. I dont get it. How can a person think that is ok to fight dogs. To make them suffer. What an idiot. I took down all my vick stuff and stuffed it in the closet.     I have a nice collection of stuff too. But I cant look at him the same. ya know. I quess I wont be wearing my vick jersey anymore either.

In the lowest classes of neighborhoods there are bad people who get kids to think their evil ways are cool, hip and the in thing.  I see this in the barrio and it is seen in the ghetto though sometimes rich kids for their cliques that are just as bad.

He probably group up with role models who were low on morality.  He probably saw the cool dudes with the dogs and wanted to be a big man by having a big dog.  He started this way of thinking before he got out of high school probably.

It is sad that he could have used that money to help kids who now are in the low quality schools and living conditions the he once knew.

I think Vick has been pretty lucky that he's still the QB for the falcons nevermind the dog fighting business. He's lucky the owner loves him.. So Far...  crazy tongue

The NFL has a history of not suspending a player unless there is clear cut evidence or the person is found guilty.  The exception was a player who had gotten trouble with the law 10 times in one year.  They will not dump Vick until there is clear cut evidence or the audience makes his playing impossible.

The NFL stands by their belief is fair play and they will not get rid of a player on hearsay and rumours let alone an indictment.  The fans hopefully will boo him off the court but not throw things or start fights if he shows up.
