The very last question on this particular sweep asks for one's ethnicity.  Is that a weird question to be asking or is it just me?  Do you think it matters as to who the winners will be or are they just wondering about the ethnicities of the people who purchase/wear/show an interest in her/their product?  I've noticed that question on other Baby Phat sweeps as well

I enter quite a few sweeps that ask that, and since sweeps $$$ come out of a company's marketing budget, they are trying to identify their target market.

It is funny ~ for the first time ever, I saw Baby Phat bathing suits the other day when we went to Holiday World.  Both were cute, but one was on a bigger woman and was adorable!!  I didn't realize that Baby Phat even made bathing suits until then ~ I would hate to know the cost...

Baby Phat suits are not that bad-you can find them for $60 to $80 (on sale). Not like Michael Kors stuff.

the other day I was entering a contest and the last question was "what is your mother's maiden name?".
Why do they need to know that? I would never enter a contest that asked that question. I don't think contests need to know questions that are that personal. scratch

That was for the security question, right? scratch I just enter Mom's first name...I mean, it was her maiden name, and her married name too. laughing

Ethnicity is for marketing purposes and they cannot discriminate in theory, lol.  Sweeps are often used to gather information like that their market is full of older women, lol.

Mother's maiden name is not a good question and should only be asked for financial stuff like banking.  I would put a fake name and if they called me on it then I would not get the prize and would protect my privacy.

See you in NH in 2009.
Has it been 5 years or more?  Thanks for the memories and farewell dearest friends. Mom needs me more than sweeping.  I will miss you all.
