I'm full of questions this week!   laughing

What are the forum rules regarding those "boxed ads" that people have as part of their signatures?  Such as those "Winzy" and "search and win" stuff.  It seems that there used to be a whole lot more of those being used ... but now I don't hardly see as many.  I see that pmeek and dansbrat1 have some.

I am not complaining ....  laughing .... I just might want to put something like that in my sig and I want to make sure what the policies are.  Better safe than sorry.   crazy tongue

also, is anybody here an expert on making those things?  PM if you are.

I "think" the siggy size is constrained {ie: x # of characters} not sure of the parameters though?  scratch

I am really not talking characters.  I am talking about cute little box ads/statements  .....sorta like the Ad at the bottom of YOUR post!   crazy tongue

( I guess if the boss and all of the mods can post flashy Box Ads ... there shouldn't be any problem with what I want to do  ... right???   laughing  )

Thanks Ken ... just was wondering ...

that Leading Hotels of the World contest has a  ???"widget"??? ....

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/4a8ed38282e5d82c/4afc8163917da801/4a8ed3d98995ec9c/4419d53d/-cpid/d68caffd48622845" id="W4a8ed38282e5d82c4afc8163917da801" width="400" height="300"><param name="movie" value="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/4a8ed38282e5d82c/4afc8163917da801/4a8ed3d98995ec9c/4419d53d/-cpid/d68caffd48622845" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowNetworking" value="all" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /></object>

...... but as you can see it doesn't work here   cry

So I thought I might be able to make my own sort of thing with a link embedded in it.  At another site (for computer geeks) several people there do it all the time and I'm hopeing they will teach me how.    Just in case they pick my entry as one of the top ten to win the trip    headbang headbang

This is flash so you would have to use the flash forum codes:

Code:
[flash=200,200]
http://somesite/somefile.swf
[/flash]

They would have to tell you what the path is to the flash file.
