Phone Number Help!

Hello everyone....what are you doing about your phone number. I noticed that since I have started...which is not that long ago I am now getting tons of calls including one that called out house 6 times today. I am wondering if anyone else has this issue and if you have any tips or tricks on how to avoid it. I dont want to avoid sweeps that require a phone number but they call our house and I have an elderly parent at home with us who thinks she needs to answer the phone everytime it rings :)

I can help - I have been doing this for about 3 years and
only get 1 phone call per month if that.

I keep an eye out to see if they really need my phone number - most sweeps will put a * next to fields that are or are not required, and most do not require it.

I also read their privacy policy, and avoid sweeps that say they will share your info with 3d parties.

FYI - if you signed up for the Do Not Call list, when you enter a sponsor's sweepstakes, you void that and they can call you.

As to getting 6 calls a day from one sponsor? Are you sure it's a sponsor? If you have caller ID, try doing a reverse phone number lookup and you can ask the caller to add you to THEIR Do Not Call list, but be aware, it will take time to get removed.
 
:sunny: Been doing this for many years and rarely get phone calls generated from sweeping. If you are curious as to who is calling and have caller ID go to http://whocalled.us/ input the number and see what others are saying about that number.
 
I very rarely get phone calls too. Once in a blue moon, and usually because i was rushing and forgot to uncheck the "it's ok to contact me box".
and also, when they do call, let them know you wish to be removed from there contact list, this way they know not to call anymore.
