Roboform Question

Is there a way to save the info stored in Roboform in case of a computer crash, all information would not have to be re entered?

You can save everything at once or any login ...find your robo info in your files and save it to your flash drive. You can also copy to another computer with your flash drive.
 
It comes with something to do that.

Go to roboform > options > User date tab (left side) > Sync

If it should crash all you have to do is reinstall roboform and put your identities back in the folder you specified to use for your roboform data which is also on the same screen of options above.
 
I have a question about roboform as well actually. Do you just go to your login passcards and go down the list or is there another bookmarking option i'm missing?
 
I'm going to write them with that as a suggestion. The bookmarking option adds it to the windows links. That is not very useful.

If you add the passcards as bookmarks in your browser you could open all in tabs. Wow the time that would save.

After you have filled out the form the way you want it including all the checked/unchecked parts, click Save and it saves it for you so you don't have to check/uncheck the next time.

The way I do it (and there may be better ways) is to go to logins and go to edit passcards. From there I highlight 10 or so at a time and select go fill. That way it's doing 10 at a time. If there's a better way I'm sure open to suggestions but I definitely believe in multi-tasking.

Interesting...I didn't know you could do that. Do you have a separate login for the ones roboform won't fill & also do you look back to make sure it was processed?

I have a folder that I call manual submit (which includes the ones that have the verification codes also). Yes, I do check and make sure the entry was processed when I go to close the window.

I just noticed something weird .. it does add the passcard bookmarks to internet explorer but not firefox. I suppose you could load them all up that way if they are saved as book marks in new tab. Now only if I can get it to work for firefox
 
fire fox does have an add on called fire-form which is a form filler like robo-form for use in fire-fox but I have never used it.
 
Another way to ensure you have a good backup is to keep a safe copy of the folder "My RoboForm Data". If you ever have to re-install, just copy back the contents of this folder and everything is back the way it was. I keep a copy on a external hardrive and on a thumbdrive.

FYI, I select a range of passcards as well, and can do as many as 15 before the world starts to slow down. It is good to keep the simple and complex entries in different folders, as sometimes when I don't have much time, I just zip through the simple ones.

The easiest way to insure that you don't lose anything is just back up your entire hard drive. Lets face it. Its not a matter of if it happens rather when. You risk losing a lot more then your roboform data. I use this http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp but there are a few others you have to pay for example is Norton Ghost.

If you have an exteral hard drive, you can create a image there and if your hard drive fails or something serious happens you can wipe the hard drive, then reinstall from a image using the recovery cd you burned. If you don't have a external hard drive these programs allow you to burn your back up to dvd-r* or cd-r. DVD-r is recommend. It took me 5 dvds.
