Books are such a signifigant part of the sweepstakes world that they have earned their own category.\u00a0 There are movie tie-in books, childrens books, cookbooks, Christian books, novel and how-to books, all waiting to be won.\u00a0 Romance books alone could keep a sweeper busy with all those\u00a0entry forms.\u00a0 All books are good – especially free ones.<\/p>\n
Some book sweepstakes<\/a> are offered by the author, or a group of authors.\u00a0 Some sites, like GoodReads, give away all kinds of books from both new and established authors.\u00a0 I recently put in a GoodReads\u00a0entry for Rob Sheffield's “Talking to Girls About Duran Duran”…but I couldn't wait to see if I won, so I borrowed a copy from the library.\u00a0 And I loved it.\u00a0 If certain songs bring back memorable moments from your past and you immediately drop back into the moment, this is a highly recommended read.\u00a0 If your personal moments include an 80's soundtrack, this is a mandatory read.<\/p>\n I confess I also enjoy romance books.\u00a0 It's true.\u00a0 There are always so many sweepstakes in this category that it can be tough deciding which ones to enter.\u00a0 All of them?\u00a0 Favorite authors?\u00a0 Paranormal romance?\u00a0 Teens?\u00a0 Regencies?\u00a0 Moderns?\u00a0 There's a lot to choose from.\u00a0 I did recently win the latest paperback from Leanne Banks.\u00a0 The author was kind enough to autograph it too, which was a nice touch.<\/p>\n One of the romance book sites, WriterSpace, has periodic chat nights where you can log into a group forum and chat with a featured author.\u00a0 I have visited a few of these chats and they've always been fun.\u00a0 They're in real time, and sometimes they have impromptu giveaways and sweepstakes<\/a>.<\/p>
