{"id":518,"date":"2011-06-06T15:34:57","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T15:34:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/?p=518"},"modified":"2022-05-30T17:48:32","modified_gmt":"2022-05-30T21:48:32","slug":"tips-on-entering-contests-part-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/tips-on-entering-contests-part-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips on Entering Contests Part 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I didn't realize I had so many tips for entering contests stored inside this crowded head of mine.\u00a0 I have learned so much over the years and I love sharing them with you!\u00a0 Another tip that hit me in the middle of the night is that you should enter contests that offer more than one prize.\u00a0 This gives you a greater <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/chance-win-ford-sweepstakes-2\/\">chance of winning<\/a> something, even if it isn't the grand prize offered.\u00a0 When you get that winning notification, you'll be encouraged to go out there and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/tips-on-entering-contests-part-1\/\">enter more contests<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Contests that have shorter entry periods give you a better chance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/lucky-sweepstakes-wins-on-chinese-new-year\/\">winning than those that last for a year<\/a>.\u00a0 The longer contests last, broadens the chance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/h-r-block-sweepstakes\/\">more people finding it and<\/a> entering it which lowers your chances.\u00a0 Those contests with shorter entry periods give you a greater chance of winning because many people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/candy-sweepstakes-sweetest\/\">are not on top of the<\/a> contest game.<\/p>\n<p>Another interesting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/tips-on-entering-contests-part-2\/\">tip would be to enter those contests<\/a> that have restricted states. When looking at rules, I notice that Rhode Island hardly ever gets a chance at entering contests.\u00a0 I don't know what their problem is, but I feel so sorry for those people who live there.\u00a0 Florida and New York are also excluded from a lot of contests.\u00a0 One day I'm going to either research this or figure out why all by myself (and then write a book &#8211; you remember that book tour I was dreaming about a few days ago &#8230;).\u00a0 Alaska and Hawaii are omitted at times mostly because it cost more to ship to those winners.\u00a0 Just make sure your state is listed in the rules, or you will be wasting time entering these restricted <a title=\"Contests\"
