On Entering Contests Part 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I forgot about one of the very first things I learned when I began entering contests.\u00a0 Google Alerts!\u00a0 That way you won't miss a winning notification and it's simple to do.\u00a0 Just search Google Alerts and find the site.\u00a0 Then enter what you want it to alert you on.\u00a0 For instance, if your name is John Jacob Jingle + winner, you'd want to enter that in the alert search terms.\u00a0 You might even put your state name in there too.\u00a0 So this would look like John Jacob Jingle + Texas + <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/sweepstakes-search-winner\/\">winner in the search<\/a> section.\u00a0 Just think what info you would find on a sponsors website when they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/sweepstakes-contests-blog\/a-long-list-of-contests-for-the-nearing-holiday-season\/\">listing winners of their contests<\/a>.\u00a0 You could also put John Jacob J. + winner because many sponsors won't post last names for your privacy.<\/p>\n<p>Then you have a few drop-down selections.\u00a0 This is what I have in mine:\u00a0 For type, I have everything.\u00a0 For how often I chose once a day.\u00a0 Your other choice is once a week, but keep in mind that many contests have a short period of time as to when you should respond and you don't want to miss out because you didn't get the notification.\u00a0 For volume I have only the best results.\u00a0 I use my Google Alerts for other notifications and I would get too many if I chose all results.\u00a0 Then just tell them your email address that you want your notifications delivered to.\u00a0 Then all you need to do is submit.<\/p>\n<p>After submitting, you'll be taken to your list of Google Alerts.\u00a0 Here you can change alerts or even delete them.\u00a0 I tweak mine all of the time.\u00a0 Keep in mind that this service is free.\u00a0 If you type the wrong thing in the search engine, you might accidentally get one that you have to pay for.\u00a0 There is no need to pay when you can get it free.\u00a0 Google Alerts has been so helpful as I go about my hobby of entering <a title=\"Contests\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sweepsadvantage.com\/contest.php\">contests<\/a> and I'm sure you'll find it helpful too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I
